In quickmatch, the whole battle is designed to giva a result as fast as possible (while being fair to both teams). Due to head on confrontation + high game speed, the matches in most cases shouldn't be longer than 10 - 20 Minutes each.

I was honestly surprised to see Lionheart win. Usualy his all-in approach leaves him vulnerable. I was certain the assasins would mow him down. A surprise, to be sure. But a welcome one.

i was pretty sure lionheart would win because nizar or the ai for that matter is way to stupid to use assassins. they try to break the walls instead of climbing the walls which loses them way to much time. yes nizar had a chance but a very small one because of the assassins trying to break the walls. at least he had a dezent layout so he had at least some economy but thats not enough to survive catapults and hard attacks like the ones lionheart launches.

@@kotzpenner one european swordsman, a bunch of archers and the lord against 8 halfdead assassins? not really close to be honest. oh and a pikeman was defending too. im not sure how many assassins it would take to kill the lionheart but i think at least 15 or 20. that would be close. just pause at 1:49 and move frame to frame (, and .) then you see that most of the assassins are at yellow health and are on the way to the keep one at the time so it looks close with that gamespeed but seeing the frames its a given that lionheart would survive 5 or 6 attempts like this easy. especially with some defending troops.

Question what does the tunnelers actually do in this game?

@@timowerner6518 There is a shovel button, Click that and put it near enemy walls, (furthest available place) They go mining, when they are in the tunnel that they're making, they are immune from any attack (only on tunneler in a tunnel) as soon as they touched walls, the walls are down, the damage is like 1 Trebuche shot so one layer wall is open, but Nazir had moat and tunnelers couldn't do anything. They die after destroying wall, not just walls, they can even attack gates,(not sure about towers) And most importantly, If you put some tunnels close to each other they all go to the same place so better to make a distance while placing tunnels .

I think part of why lionheart is many peoples' favorite lord is because he works on all starting condition levels. Some lords really struggle, be it the wolf with some of his giant castles or almost all the new AIs because they sucked before the community patches. Richard just always delivers, even when he's ultimately losing.

That’s the point of him I guess. He’s supposed to be a solid and well rounded character in game since he’s also the mascot of the game.

I thought it's impossible for Richard to take over Nizar for a such short amount of time. I was expecting Nizar'll rush him or something.

I was watching all of richard's failed sieges and was like "yeah he doesnt stand a chance if he's planning to bruteforce through all those gatehouses". Then skipped to minute 8 and was like HOLY SH- This is what happens when you don't get rid of richard in the early game.

It might sound a close matchup on paper. But Lionheart will most definetly beat Nizar under deathmatch rules. Even tho Nizar uses lots of archers fire balista and traps, Lionheart uses a lot of siege enggines which the Nizar doesn't have any counter on especially since the AI tend to ignore the raiding catapult pounding their walls. The only way the Nizar can somewhat win against the Lionheart is if he can push him into defense and attack him in a counter attack. Lionheart have one of the most fastest recruitment time and his keep are small and almost always filled with troops

Apparently, the defense of the Nizar castle managed to make it difficult for itself in terms of farming, but failed to repel Richard's siege weapon and armored unit attacks. Anyway, the nizar is stil my favorite opponent.

The same trick i use to defeat the nizar: keep destroying his marketplace and granary.

I think he failed in defense cuz in this castle layout he didn't use the bridge with the gate, so lionheart's troop easily can siege his gates and rush to the keep

@@barone9653 If he build the bridge, it will be suicide. Once Richard destroy it, all building outside the castle will be destroyed, because there is no access anymore. The same way you put an ox or woodcutter's hut (Lord Udwin called it 'monument') in front of the gates to block access.

My dearest Lord Udwin, as the great magicians recently found a way to capture motion images in 1.41 High Definition it would perhaps be a good idea to use its mighty power! Sure, their solution isn't optimal because it is quite impossible to have a proper look at the pergament with the building instructions. But in times when you only have to oversee your follow lords fighting each other, the pergament is useless and should thus be left at home and the positive effects on the eye thanks to the High Definition remains! Yours sincerely, Lord Moff PS: Du kannst ja jetzt auch die 1.41 Version aufnehmen, nicht wahr? (Jurob) Für KI-Kämpfe wäre HD echt cool, vorallem weil das HUD ja eh meist ausgeblendet wird :)

Nizar usually wins against Richard, but that is his worse castle design and his economy is totally dependent on agriculture that where was the conflict area

Assassin in stronghold Crusader , 2 Assassin VS European Swordman, one Assassin Wins Assassin in Stronghold 2 , In the middle of an attack to Williams castle, 5 Assassins died Fighting against one Swordman and swordman's health was fresh red (It wasn't fill at first)
