I quit smokin close to 15 y/ago Richard. My energy level gain was a good 30%, my appetite changed for the better, and my hearing and mental clarity improved by a good 40% . Ya done right buddy....God bless, tight lines!

I have mixed emotions when you post a video, good that you posted, bad if I can't stop what I'm doing and watch it right then. Wife always asks why it bothers me to not watch right when it comes out, all I can tell her is "it's Richard Gene I gotta watch it". I'm glad you stopped smoking, I noticed a few videos back that you weren't smoking. Thank you, I wish everyone that smokes would quit. Everyone in my family that smoked have all passed on. I never smoked but did use snuff and chewed tobacco, so I know how hard it is to quit. Good for you and God bless you.

My husband and I watch you all of the time. I totally comment but I just had to come and say how proud I am of you forfor kicking the cigarette habit. I smoked 2 1/2 packs a day for years. I quit 10 years ago and it was the BEST thing I ever did. I couldn't have done so w the Lord's help. Praise God for His grace mercy and goodness. Richard Gene the fishing machine you have saved my fishing down here in the south. I fish Northeast Ohio and Central Ontario Canada. the squirrel tail jig and the underspin have me catching fish like crazy in North Georgia.

Richard I am 62 and when I was growing up we siened red horse minnows, craw dad's and very small perch. The first artificial baits that I used was a black and gold horse hair or a yellow and. Black spinner. They were 59cents a piece and a zebco 202. When I lost my 2 lures I was done for the day, lol

walking small rivers is my favorite way to go after channel cat's a rod with a slip float setup and a 1/0 or 5/0 hook and some nightcrawlers and some cut bait it is fun

I am pleased to 'sort of' leak the fact you had quit smoking. Like I mentioned before now we have to get you weaned off the gum. 🤭The increase in energy and stamina was really noticeable with me, too. It happened quick enough to surprise me. Those spot/smallie mean mouths must be a whole lot of fun. I can't imagine. Hungry and ornery is a good way to be for a fish like that. 😉 Richard I go fishing with you every time you ask. You give lessons that are becoming more valuable as time goes by and I thank you so much. Edit: I forgot to mention that for me it was Tic Tacs. lol

That's how I grew up fishing, dig worms, hunt nightcrawlers turn the rocks over seine for crawfish, hellgramites and minnows. Then go fishin. I only had a couple lures that I would use that caught anything and they seemed to only work good in the spring and once the water really started warming they didn't want the fake baits. they would chase it but not hit.

Love the breakdowns you do on the tackle. Lot to learn from the fishing machine!!

I am glad that you quit smoking. I have been quit this month make 16 years. My brother passed away last October from lung cancer, he was a heavy smoker and loved more than anything to fish. He would fish state lakes in Alabama from a rented john boat and would outfish two or more people fishing out of their expensive bass boats.
