I worked at a tire shop and got to fix his flat tire once(about 15 years ago). He was so polite and friendly, then tipped me $50.

Met Ed at a restaurant in Santa Monica in 2005, celebrating his daughter's graduation I think, waved to our table and said hi. Good guy.

Ed knows boxing. He’s good friends with Ray Mancini and used to box himself. Also a jiujitsu black belt. Amazing man.

Ed O'Neill never disappoints, not in his acting or in interviews. Good value. 😁😂 I bounce around watched as far they discus boxing, they don't mention Ed has trained for over 20 years in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Which is a little surprising. I've been a martial arts instructor for over 40 years, I rarely see people his age begin at the age he started, which would have to have been in his 50's as he is now 75.

If you hadn't had 3+ surgeries in BJJ after 15 yrs you aren't rolling hard enough and a street fight isn't realistic. lol. How far that art has fallen.

Knowing that he hit Roger Staubach late and got a penalty (IN THE OLD DAYS) makes me like Al Bundy 300% more. 4 touchdowns in one game at Polk High doesn't touch that.

I am glad with Modern Family Ed O'Neill managed to get another hit show. After Married with Children his career kind of stalled for a little bit and people didn't want to cast him because he was typecast as Al.

I love Ed's work with David Milch so much. For anyone who wants to see the range he is capable of, try to find the 6 episode run of the tv show 'Big Apple' which was sadly cancelled. I found it on youtube years ago, hopefully it is still there.

big lug like that a black belt too ? dayam ! im a 6' 4" always fit individual and in my late teens started taking jujitsu lessons ,mainly out of boredom and the instructor actually told me i was big enough ,there was no need to learn it -so that was it and tG in the past 40 years since he was right !
