I can see the Chargers winning 11-12 games, maybe winning the division. Their WR corps is better than people realize. Minter just needs to improve the defense.

players "buying in" or "not buying in" to what coaches are teaching/saying is imo the most important & underrated/least talked about aspect of why teams succeed (or fail). Like with Jonathan Gannon - however corny we might perceive him to be, his players bought in & they stayed plucky all season despite a lot of losing. So none of us should be surprised if the Cardinals have a better season than anticipated. Same goes for guys like McDaniel in Miami & Ryan in Houston - their players bought in, and probably still do. Then on the other side, you've got Daboll, Sirianni, and maybe McDermott souring with their players, who aren't buying in anymore & we could see disastrous seasons from those clubs. Anyway, DJ mentioning that struck a nerve with me. I'd like to hear one of these talking heads discuss the NFL clubs from the perceived "buying in" level from their players - or antipathy from their players.

I can answer the question of when DQ's defense didnt punch above its weight...the playoff game. It was the worst D performance I have ever seen. Either DQ completely checked out, or the league has completely figured him out. There were huge running lanes and wide open recievers every play.

Feeling good about Bengals and Commanders. Burrow is always a flame too easily snuffed out, but their defense might be better (which is why they beat KC), and Jaden Daniel's should never be underestimated. If they can keep him safe, he'll be dangerous.

One thing anyone giving praise to the Texans "resurgence" ALWAYS forgets to mention.. is the genius calling the plays on offense.. NOBODY thought that offense would succeed last year with the players stroud had to work with but BOBBY SLOWIK was creating magic to allow Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and NOAH BROWN along with Dalton Schultz to put up MULTIPLE 100 yd receiving games for EACH of them. Boy was cooking with mediocre chefs.. PUT SOME RESPECT ON BOBBY SLOWIK'S NAME!
