I had the privilege of being CCHS team physician (along with my dad, who had helped CCHS for many years) during my years in Manchester. One of regrets in life was missing CCHS win the Kentucky State Championship. Manchester will always be home for me.

I went to OBI...played against the farmer boys & clay county ..they were the shit .

Yes these boys had great fundamentals.both great athletes..russ had an absolute GUN at shortstop...I played catcher at OBI & Ritchie's coach told my coach I was the very best high school catcher he'd seen .I had an arm & could throw to any base from my knees .I picked dudes off esp with lefty hitter .I could hide my throw to first & get you in a rundown..good memories playing CLAY...

Richie is probably the most underrated guard that came out of Kentucky.. he was like a Scotty Pippen.. he could shoot just as well as Chapman. Those were great times

2,1 seconds? Makes me cry......everytime I think about it.... I was in Rupp when the Unforgettables were immortalized in the rafters. The only thing that bothers me, is that Mashburn was not included. He deserves his jersey to be included...100% I don't care if he fouled out. He Is apart of the Unforgetable....100%

What stands out to me about his performances in the state tournament games is how little emotion he showed both good and bad. He played with the same demeanor all the time.

In the judgement belt....live & let live .he made some mistakes...one day you will ..but the malevolence in you is obvious ...it's really sad the judgement us KY kids face has taken over 15 yrs of therapy for me to get help . believe what you want but he paid the price..it gos much deeper .
