2pac didn't realize God put him in prison to save his life. Pac had been arrested 8 times in 4 years. It was his time to reflect and come out a better man. Instead Pac panicked signed to DeathRow, got out October 12, 1995 and was dead by September 13, 1996. Everything that look good, ain't good for you.

Nah it was part of his Blk messiah agent mission. But like the movie "In Too Deep" Pac started thinking he really was Tupac Amaru Shakur instead of Parish Lesane Crooks & he got too cocky for his handlers' & wanted to floss on his enemies rather than be looked upon as down trodden like that agent MLK.

Deathrow records killed him. That and that stupid ass kyinv bitch. He had no other choice other then to sign with deathrow unless he wanted to stay in prison. Jus a fucked up situation in so many ways. I truly believe the music industry and the world would be different if he was still alive. Thats how powerful and intelligent he was. 20 + years later and we still ain't over it. Never will be either. Miss pac

Music definitely has a different vibe when everyone is working together in the studio. That’s why 90’s rap music is considered the golden age. It was more organic
@GM53946
@GM53946 4 жыл бұрын
This. I first noticed that many years ago, and it's good to see artists appreciating the importance of it too. But not everyone -- notice how the Deathrow artists themselves all declined very dramatically once it fell apart, yet someone like Daz is still to this day bitching about how he did everything himself. But the reality is that in the 25 years since then he has produced a small fraction of the dope beats he made during those short 4 years between 1993 and 1997, which is because he was working alone after Deathrow while it was a studio full of other people all giving input as well as professional musicians playing live instruments and the music was so great because of the combined effort of everyone. The one exception of someone maintaining a level (at least until he got completely disconnected from reality) was Dre, and he actually kept that model -- lots of people working together on the same record during the same session. Chuck D also talked about that the other day -- how it was groups of MCs going back and forth, with an in-house DJ and a whole bunch of people behind the scenes, all working together. Now a producer makes a beat, files it in the library, then it gets sold to some MC over the internet, possibly years later, no direct contact whatsoever. No wonder it is all canned and formulaic.
