@@Werdiknight very true
@jp38136 ай бұрын
@@Werdiknight All Bon Jovi songs are either written or co-written by Jon except for She Don't Know Me by Mark Avsec. The band's first hit, Runaway, didn't even feature any of the founding members except for the frontman. The only US top 10 hits that the band ever had after the 80s were both solely written by Jon: Bed of Roses & Always. He also had an award-winning number one single as a solo artist w/ Blaze of Glory. All but four of Jon's songs as a solo act out of two albums were solely written, while all but three of Richie's out of three albums were co-written (one involving Jon). Musically, there's no debate b/c success followed Jon.

Mine as well..I just wonder why they never released the potential biggest hit of RS career "Father Time", such a waste..that was the biggest marketing mistake of his career, instead of this they decided to go for "Mr Bluesman" that was not a good choice to promote the album, especially internationally (although the song itself is not bad). I am curious because behind "Father Time" song there was also Desmond Child and I am sure there had been some plans as regards that song but something happened later that prevented it from being promoted....

Yes, beautiful words! Richie is missed. It is sad how some people focus on his personal struggles and diss him for that but the truth is that we all have our struggles and no one knows how those came about or how hard we try to deal with them and sometimes it is just too hard and we fall. He has had that happen and gets back up. He falls and gets back up. We all do that. That doesn't take away the fact that he has a true heart for people. It doesn't take away the fact that he is so talented and has worked so hard all his adult life and deserves the things he has worked for. He doesn't deserve the smart remarks from people who won't even give him a chance. They just choose to judge. Oh, and I agree with your comment about his eyes:)

One Light Burning, in all honesty, is now my favourite song of all time. I know how incredible he is as a guitar player, but I just can't get over how incredible his voice is. No other song has made me feel this emotional, and the music and his voice just puts you into a trance. He is so underrated and I have no idea how this album and this song specifically didn't get the recognition it deserved.

You took the word out of my mouth!! ONE LIGHT BURNING, FATHER TIME and THE ANSWER are the best song ever written to me, also better than Stranger in this town ( which was great too, But after two times One Light Burning I keep playing this ten times day and still don't get sick of it!!)
