@@markthoney6434 if Jeff isn't already in the IBHOF that is criminal. The guy was dominant at his weight class for almost an entire decade. Jeff was one of the top PNP boxers in the 80's. I put him right up there with a guy like Michael Carbajal. I guess you need to buy your way into the IBHOF.

Outstanding presentation. I always looked forward to watching Chandler in the early 1980s. A beautiful boxer with every move in the book, and could punch as well. Too bad there wasn't overlap with Zarate, who was astonishingly gifted, and near the very top of fighters I saw live. He looked very different in person compared to TV. Zarate vs Chandler would've been special. Chandler's career reminded me of a saying from a friend from Puerto Rico, who said that boxers from Mexico and Philly are pretty much the same. For every Salvador Sanchez and Ricardo Lopez, you also have a Julio Cesar Chavez and Ruben Olivares. At the same time, for every Joe Frazier and Bennie Briscoe, there's a Jeff Chandler and Tyrone Everett. Boxers, punchers, all great, and a deep and diversified history that's almost unmatched.

Great documentary Rich, and pleased Chandler never went downhill and got swallowed up with the street life. Jolting Jeff was a fantastic boxer, the smaller divisions are just so more competitive. Such a shame a unification fight with Pintor never happened, it may of been a classic trilogy of fights. Wonderful story regarding his relationship with his trainer and manager husband & wife team, what a wonderful character she must of been, and Willie O’Neils boxing intelligence and wisdom would of been a boxing historians dream to listen to about the old boxers of the past. Wonderful Rich, many thanks.🥊

It's a shame, he never fought Pinter, who was a very good fighter, I think he had broke his jaw in the motorcycle accident, Pinter was also never the same after he killed a fighter named Jimmy Owen in a tremendous fight,I remember watching it on a Saturday afternoon, Owen was the thinnest fighter I ever seen,he was running like 25 miles a day,it was a war,Pinter staggered him,hit him with a straight right, his head hit the canvas, he was basically DOA,it's been over forty yrs, that's what I remember, Chandler was good, but moving up,he wouldn't beat Gomez, or Sanchez, that division, the top ten was loaded, all great fighters, but the best I ever sore and my favorite of all time was Salvador sanchez, Hagler close second, loved both. RIP CHAMPS,BOTH GOATS

I’ve said it more times than I can remember at this point but no one can come close to providing the wonderful documentaries of both the great, well-known fighters; but also of some of the most niche, barely acknowledged fighters who still deserve to be given recognition for giving so much to a sport that is both beautiful and amazing, but which has exacted such a price from these warriors. Thanks again, Rich!!

The Carter fight was a masterclass in inside fighting .You could see when he moved up he didn't have the same strength to fight off the ropes cos his opponents were stronger and he couldn't push them off just that little bit to give him the space to work .
