I believe that another reason why Evil Morty doesn’t want to use the Booger AIDS device on Rick is because he’s not only worried about the vengeful Summers, but also the army of Mortys he would have to contend with. Sure, a lot of them may die, but even Evil Morty can’t beat that many Mortys, especially if they are using their dead Rick’s technology. Like he was just acting like he wasn’t worried or kept it a secret that he is worried. Because realistically, he wouldn’t have to worry about summers coming after him since he could just wipe them from existence, but with Morty. I mean, other than manually killing them all, what’s he gonna do? Jump in the machine himself?

It mattered which shirt they wore because Evil Morty had been shot in the arm. So to get Rick Prime to lower his guard he put his eyepatch on Morty C-137 and switched shirts to hide the wound. Rick Prime definitely would have remembered which one he shot.

@@ExquailiburEveryone in Rick’s family has that potential for his intelligence, Rick is the way he is because he has nothing to live for. I say this because we’ve seen what a Beth or Morty who don’t have their “attachments” can become, usually being more formidable than even Rick. While Rick is a genius, his many flaws make him weak. Thats why the Ricks isolated themselves from other realities. I think evil Morty is smart enough to realize that taking away a Sanchez’s reason to live is basically a death sentence if you allow them to live

I mean you still got doofus jerry imagine a episode where he gets into a fight with space beth... or they do something crazy with naruto lmaooo 😂 Thats what i love about this show you'll get a couple of random scenes in episodes that tie into big plots in other episodes

The fact it had no B plot stood out to me early in the episode. It was just straight-forward canon. I think they're trying to lay it to rest so they can move on from the whole origin story, and keep having fun with new things.

There are a few episodes with no B plot. Off the top of my head though the only other one I can think of right now is the first Unity episode in season 2. That one didn't even have a full opening credit sequence either. EDIT: I was wrong, there was a B plot in this episode I forgot was actually from this episode with the alien prisoner who eat babies with space AIDS. Thanks, @elephantheart9988 for setting me straight on that one.

11:35 I think there's more to Evil Morty's motives than just wanting peace and quiet. I think he's bored on his island planet, and when he sees Rick going after Rick Prime, it seems like a challenge for him. He could have just tried to kill Rick, or even just when he helps him find Rick Prime, he didn't have to go with him, he knows that he can dismantle Ricks machine and it would stop messing with his planet. Because deep down, he is still a Morty, and he still wants for adventure. He just wants it on his terms, without being dragged around by a Rick. He can choose to be part of this adventure.

Prime confirmed something in this episode that I believed for many years. That he and 137 where the only two to invent portal travel. The rest where given it. Here was my theory that was created after Evil Morty destroyed the old portal index. I postulated that prime created the first portal index, at that time 137 was working on it but he didn't work it out until he saw Primes gun and green portal. So that wasn't the time 137 invented portal travel, he just hopped on Primes portal network. Then Evil Morty nuked the system and the reason 137 spent so much time saying "I am getting to it" is because he wasn't sure he could do it. He was worried he would fail and it would prove he was inferior to Prime. Eventually the dino's challenged Ricks ego and forced him to push through and the explosion from the garage with the green crystals. THAT was 137 genuinely inventing portal travel, its why he was so excited, he proved to himself he could do what Prime did. Then this episode Prime confirms it, that 137 is the only Rick he considers somewhat equal to him. The rest are inferior.

I think Evil Morty is one of the few if not only Morty’s that have been given the time to learn things. Every other Morty goes on adventures blindly without Rick teaching him much. If More Morty’s were allowed to explore and learn, they’d be as smart or smart than Rick or evil Morty.

I feel like the continuous mistreatment that evil Morty was getting is what made him become so aware and smart. He was probably paying attention throughout the time of their adventures after getting the short end of the stick so many times and that scene in the garage was the breaking point for him. If you also notice, all of the family ( aside from Jerry) are all smart in their own way meaning it runs in their blood from Rick.

Two things I noticed: Morty’s oasis is a copy of Tract Island from “the Thunderbirds”. The between world ship looks like the Space Guild ship from the original Dune film. 11:59

What an episode. Probably my favorite of the series. I was worried when they got rid of Justin, but the new voices sound perfectly fine to me and are close enough. Storyline wise this season has been awesome.

It was a super huge canonical episode. I was surpised they paid all these storylines off during the mid-season finale. And didn't save them for the actual finale. Meaning they probably have something much bigger in store!

I'd be surprised if we get another incredibly canonical episode this season. I feel that the finale of Season 7 will be closer to Season 6's, wherein the majority of the episode will essentially just be a "one off", but will allude to the bigger picture moving forward with Season 8 by the end.

I’m almost certain Emergency Awesome knew exactly why Evil Morty swapped shirts but said what he said on purpose to get everyone flustered and writing comments which drives engagement. It’s a trick all KZfaqrs do and works every damn time because everyone always wants prove someone especially creators wrong.

19:48 About the shirts: Original Morty's shirt was still intact (not torn) before they switched with Evil Morty. Evil Morty's shirt was torn. He got away with being the Original Morty by removing the eye patch and switching shirts. Small bit, but it helps in setting up the scene

Don't know if anyone else caught this but the 'Omega device' is also a device from Doctor Who, also known as the 'Hand of Omega'. The Time Lords used it to make stars go supernova so they could fuel their time machines.

The post credit scene is the proof of most badass bloodline because they will all defy law. if WE love someone it is not the same, they will remember pure love beyond any machine, weapon, idea you can throw at them. Mr. Slo loved his wife so much, she said fuck you to ERASURE, he guided her to find love regardless to the other loved soul who was lost like him. Can’t kill my love

When Rick prime asks what is youre life without me and C137 Rick awnsers: lets find out, that line gotta be from Transformers dark of the moon when Optimus prime kills Megatron. And the screams of Rick prime dying sounds like when Megatron dies. But also this puncing scene looks like something from the dark knight where Batman interrogates the joker or when superman kills the joker in injustice gods among us.

I did enjoy the ending sequence, where it felt like Rick got some sort of purpose/enjoyment out of whatever he said to Jerry. The family laughs, Jerry looks hurt/upset. I’m sure Rick burned him good with whatever he said. But we’ll never know…

This was a great episode we havents seen an episode like this in such as long time it reminds me why I like this show and why I continue to watch it. Evil Morty at first was not my favorite character but this episode he is now by all means my favorite character now especially when he and Rick just plays off each other. It's like watching a beautiful dance when those two interact and mock each other. The firing blasting of the guns with Rick on evil Morty was hilarious. I hope we don't have to wait too long to see evil Morty come back but I also hope we don't see him too much as too much of good thing can actually be bad. Great video explaining the curve from previous episode how evil Morty just blew up the barrier not the curve itself. Makes way more sense you did a better job explaining it than the show itself.

The Morties actually did switch shirts, since Rick prime skimmed evil morty on the shoulder with a shotgun blast, and later when Rick is taking our morty home you can see the damage to the shirt on his shoulder.

This a bit late but here we go… Fantastic episode overall, and what I love is that it still leaves so many questions unanswered that us fans are dying to find out. All the dialogue between Rick and Rick prime sounded like they were replaying old events, “oh he built another one” and “look it’s the dead wife guy again”, leaving me to think are we going to see a backstory episode of how Rick prime deleted all Diane’s from history with Rick c137 failing to prevail? Then there’s evil morty, is there any chance he knew his original Rick? Or did Rick prime abandon him early on which is what lead to evil morty being tossed around from Rick to Rick? Will Rick c137 use evil morty as his newest distraction now that he’s out a nemesis? Idk but reguardless I can’t wait to see what the creators come up with

A lot of wild speculation on some of Evil Morty's actions during his recap. Occam's Razor, we only see him delete one Morty's record. More than likely his own. It's clear EM was aware of his doubles being a commodity when he compared himself to them right before doing some surgery on grampa. As for the Council, several council members showed up with blankets for Mortys, if he was in a place of prominence, kicking rocks in the rain when he decided to run for president isn't where he would be. That's just the conclusions I came to.

I called way back in season 3 after The Ricklantis Mixup episode that c137 Rick and Rick prime (or as I said at the time the Rick that killed Dian) were the only 2 that actually invented portal travel because all the other Ricks depended on the citadel for portal fluid. I also said Rick prime either killed all the Dians or she had some sort of incurable disease across all realities.

One big thing they let on is that Rick "Prime's" Wife died in a regular way BEFORE he makes the portal gun. Because he references that Rick moved in with "His" family, and his Beth experienced her mothers death. Where as our Rick's Beth was killed with her mother. Cronenberg or non-Cronenberg are still branches off the "C147" core line. So when Rick and Morty sidestep to leave Cronenburged earth, they're still "on" Rick Prime's reality, just a sub-branch where a random catastrophe happened to Rick and Morty. Which also appears to be time travel, or perfect displaced parallelization. Rick Prime certainly ran to ground to the Core line where the world was cronenburged, possibly trying to claim our rick's apparently abandoned space (when he finds that rick is living in a sub-branch not the core, and killed His original realities, Jerry, because that reality was burned due to Cronenburging. Rick Prime had "more time" because his wife was dead, could he have been motivated to build the portal gun to try and sidestep into another reality, beating any other Rick to the breakthrough, abandoning his Beth for the Wife and Beth of a Rick he dupes into teaming up, then replacing?

Hands down the best episode since Season 3 and by no means is that saying everything in between was subpar or even average. But, this episode had season/series finale vibes to it. What now for Rick C-137? What's his purpose from this point on or focus? Will there be a new antagonist we haven't been introduced yet lying in the shadows? Because the vibe I'm getting is that Evil Morty isn't that big of a threat at all almost more of an ally almost. In other words I'm absoltely psyched for what lies ahead now with not just this season, but the next two and a half left. Last night's episode gets an A+++, just a huge reminder that this show can be amazing still.
