RICK ASTLEY's songs always with beautiful and reflective lyrics and he is always beautiful, docile, polite and with this ANGEL FACE! ... I just hope that, making the success he is making, again, he does not become a ridiculous middle-aged man, because we like him and we don't want that !!! (BRASIL).

Rick was too young at the time to realize that he should have stuck with ( SAW ) Stock, Aitken, and Pete Waterman to continue making mega hits like Never Gonna Give You Up. They don't call SAW's Hit Factory for nothing. Rick had the voice, the popularity, and the backing of SAW to make another mega hit. It would have helped him cement his career as a Mega Pop Star like Michael Jackson or at the very least, be on par with the likes of Madonna. He should have sat through the ride until the end just like what Kylie Minogue did. Who knows, Rick could have easily had another mega hit like Never Gonna Give You Up, if he had stuck with SAW. Rick's ego got in the way and his so called "artistic freedom" got him no where afterwards. As we now know, it was truly an unwise move. It was due to Rick Roll that got him back treading water again with... you guessed it, Never Gonna Give You Up. However, his popularity now can not be compared to the height of his career with SAW. The guy that we should really be interviewing is Pete Waterman because he is the main guy that found Rick and had the vision to make it all happen at The Hit Factory. Like the other singers at The Hit Factory, Rick Astley was only a front for representing fun and catchy music which served it's purpose. And that is probably why Rick left SAW.
