Okay, so this is one of my fave songs, and I started this back when 8.08 aired. It took a while for me to finish this, because it just made me too damn emotional. I've said before that for me, Rick and Carl's bond was the heart of the show. Without it, the show just feels hopeless and empty. Carl deserved better. Rick deserves better. I know this song has a romantic undertone, and I've seen it mostly used in shipping vids, but the unconditional love between a father and son just made me really want to use it, and especially because Rick is now without his reason to live.

The character arch of Rick is so amazing. He was such an incredible person in the first 2 seasons, and all the trauma, pain, and survival just changed him so much.

Sorry 4 bothering u i lost my first kid in 2005 9 months ago a girl i met brought me my 16 year old daughter in my life happiest day her name is ayla she hurt her so much. Ayla loves me so much cause i dont want her mom she told me a week ago u cant b wuth ayla sorry to bother you im just in a bad spot. im suppose to be in bed. sleeping but instead im watching this and crying my eyes out why you gotta to this to my heart this is just heartbreaking to watch and sad and it, breaking my heart to watch im still not okay after watching carl die and then you gottta go and make this and make me cry i thought i was done crying and now im right back at it again someone. pass the tissues

This was so beautiful. I'm still angry about them ending Carl&Rick's story the way they did. There was no reason to kill off Rick's only purpose to keep going and ending his arch in a failure other than AMC being assholes.

He didn't deserve to die, he was his sisters role model he was Edens partner, he was Michonne's son, he was ricks other half and ricks world. He should have lived he should still be in the show, the show writers where stupid to kill him off. he was there for every one he helped people, he protected people. He had been through so much, when he was younger he saw his friend as a walker he had to watch his mom die then kill her, he was tourched by Negan and other people. He watched his friends die (Glenn, aberham,Olivia,Spenser,lori,shane and much more). he got shot twice once in the chest and once in the eye. He didn’t deserve to die he was strong, mentally and physically. He just had been through so much and then he died he was finally strong then he had to die from a walker. RIP Carl Grimes I will always miss him ❤️ ❤️

Okay well... When I was younger, about five years ago. Two other fictional characters that I love died on a show that I adored. and someone else put that song to a goodbye video that I can't not cry at. So this brought back memories... I was thinking that someone should do a Rick and Carl version of this, thank you for being the one to do it and doing it so perfectly to the point of tears! Dude, well done. You did awesome.

I still cant believe they killed Carl off just like that??? Like why the hell would you kill him there was not even one reason to do that. He was always there since season one, fighting and surviving together with the gang and then just like that they let him die ?? Like how? Who thought that was a great idea? I wanted so see more of him with Negan, see him change the world with Rick, Daryl, Jesus...all of the Survivors. It really is a shame to not see Carl/Riggs anymore :(

Scott killed the character Carl because Chandler Riggs would turn 18, so having to earn a salary from a professional actor, so he killed Carl so he wouldn't have to spend so much

Sadly, in the world of TWD, there is no cure for the infection. It's the fever that kills you. With very strong antibiotics, maybe he could've lived, but since the characters don't have current access to that, it wouldn't work. There's also the fact that when the virus first broke out, I'm sure hospital personnel were using everything they could to treat it. I always theorized that Rick's blood - and Rick himself - was the 'cure'. That by him not dying from that coma in an abandoned hospital, maybe his blood became special and he developed immunity. I had hoped that it would've passed to Carl with him needing blood from Rick back in s2. Carl shot himself to spare his dad and Michonne the burden from killing him. He didn't want that on them. :(
