I read an excerpt from Rick Rubin's The Creative Act: A Way of Being where he advises us to read great works of literature and art. Couldn't agree more!

Hi. here again. It was very interesting to listen to "The Creative Act". You read it so well and it sounds very motivational and inspirational. I feel I will have to add it to my list of books ( which is kind of growing 😱) but its all good. I am a bit of a shallow reader but I am going to work on that. So let me nurture my creative pile of books

Glad you enjoyed the video! I don't know if you're into audiobooks, but I recommend this one as an audiobook. Rick Rubin does a great job reading it, and you can take it in small doses.

You know what. That actually sounds like a good way to do it plus I reduce the physical pile. I can listen to it in the car. 👍🏾

Rick Rubin has made a career out of extracting the best from the musical artist with whom he has worked. Who else would have thought to introduce Johnny Cash to Trent Reznor's "Hurt"? I hope that someday you will share your own canon of great works in various disciplines.
