The excited gasps upon seeing Goku’s symbol and then the immediate disappointment a second later were my exact reaction. They’re really just gonna feed Goku to Superman again.

@@johnjordan211, you’re missing the point. Death battle has already covered this matchup, twice. And Goku already lost both times. Making a third one is pointless and redundant when we all know what the outcome is going to be, and we know they are only covering this fight again just to instigate more drama between the Dragon Ball and DC communities.

@@tokusatsukeyblade797 that’s literally not true. They’re trying to fix the mistakes in the first two episodes to make a true decisive episode to represent both characters of how they truly are. Ben Singer heat Goku versus Superman two for obvious reasons, but still .They also are picking specific versions of them this time not saying Goku is going to win, but clearly it’s gonna already be more fair.

I just wanna make it clear Just because we aren’t that excited for Goku Superman doesn’t mean we think it’ll be bad, the team have cooked all season im sure it’ll be great. Just not something we’re hyped about!

I've heard this next match will be a modern remake of the fight, and Ben Singer posted a tweet saying that they'll be compositing Dragon Ball Heroes for Goku and Infinite Frontier for Superman. Note: I would mention that both GVS 1 & 2 were updated on the Death Battle Channel in both titles and description saying they were outdated and inaccurate. So, despite what they said back then, Ben Singer is open on doing a Re-analysis on the matchup, hopefully to fix the missteps they had in both of their previous episodes they did with these too.

Infinite Frontier Superman was a recon in DC that made everything canon. Pre Crisis, Post Crisis, New 52, and Rebirth will be combined.

Actually it would have been pointless since the regeneration didn’t begin till the end of the speech so if Rick kept shooting it would just waste energy he even said hurry up before he started the speech showing how he was waiting for the regeneration to start
