I think I was about 17 when he blew up on General Hospital and Jessie's Girl came out. I hated soap operas but I watched it just to see him. Not a lot of people can stay relevant for 40+ decades.

This is a pretty good interview. Have loved him since 1981. He remains a great influence. Love his forthrightness. But I’m glad to hear that he was a little reticent about his book as it was very very revealing! I get it now…he had a contract!

he had an amazing storyline with Jacklyn Zeman on GH playing her love interest -- i am surprised he wasn't at the funeral -- i know he was busy but i am sure something could have been done -- he was an important part of general hospital

Rick Springfield needs to run or swim for 20 mins per day! Psychotropic drugs are no good!!! Yes, workout stops depression too! Christine you are a great interviewer. It seems you two are friends and that looks great! Rick seems so sweet and smart. Nice, both of you!

He works out every day. He used to run also. He also meditates. He's been dealing with depression since he was a teen so he is well aware of his mental health.
