Lukather is another living legend himself. He's way humble considering how crazy prolific the guy's been. Super cool, super talented.

Tommy T supervised me in the studio once...wonderful guy..scared me so bad I messed the part 2 times..he folded his arms and I nailed it..found out later that if I was to miss the 3rd time he would have pulled me off the gig..trial by fire..loved him.

Saw Luke at the Palomino Club one night in North Hollywood in the late 80's, was just getting into the scene at the time and didn't realize what I was being treated to. Wish I could relive that show!

Luke is such a phenomenal musician, one of that class of guitarists who are just on a completely different level from mere mortals. He comes across as such a great guy, not a jerk at all. In every interview I've heard him in, he's clear that it's all about the music, not his ego, which is so refreshing. (For the record, I feel the same way about Steve Vai and John Petrucci. Incredible players, who seem to be genuinely nice guys, too.)

Classic Beato interview gold: When Steve goes upper register and says "There are only 12 notes and they've been played" 8:35 he is giving us all permission to steal his riffs like he stole and so forth and so on down the line for the ages ... Sometimes all you need is permission

What chord/scale is being implied with a D♭ chord over an E bass? The intervals from E would be ♭2 3 and 6 right? From 7:50 - some kind of altered scale?

KZfaq's algorithm wants each channel to make the same video every time, or at least the same format. So if you want to do something different sometimes and not lose all your subscribers you have to make a second channel.

Studio Musicians are still Musicians no matter what. They still know how to Play an Instrument. Just because they are not on a Stage making money showing off in front of people does not make then any different at all. They still got the Gift given to them from God in heaven above. I am a Musician but just have not every used my gift that has been given to me.
