The pop and the hop, fully aware of the showmanship, hot dogging of Rickey, never seen him do the hop after knowing he got it.

Arguably the greatest I've seen in my lifetime. Others are great at a couple of things, but Ricky was electrifying, watching him play live has been the highlight of my life as a sports fan. Ricky was the best of the best. I lived in Oakland a few miles from the Coliseum and I used to go watch him play all of the time..........I've seen many greats since him; McGuire, Bonds, Ichiro, Griffey, Trout, Ripken, Boggs, Puckett, Maddux, Smotz, Cabrera, Jeter........but none could ever do what Rickey did.

Rickey would have hit many more Homer's. The A's brought him up late. He played during strike years: 81, 85, 89 and 94. Only hit 6 homers in 88. In 87 and 93 he was on paces to finish with more homeruns but slowed by injuries. Should have been MVP in 82 and 85
