Hey Victor, thanks for reaching out. I'm not sure exactly what could be behind that, but I would recommend first redoing the wiring and double checking everything in the diagram, make sure your power and ground and data are going to the right pins. Also if you have other sensors, check if they work with those pins on your pi. There could be a problem with the pins that are supposed to be putting out power. Also try emailing the company you got the sensor from if you confirm that the circuit configuration is correct and that the pi's pins work. Good luck, and happy exploring!

Thanks, and good day to you, too! I used the MCP3008. I have not tried using the MCP3208 but they show that chip being used in the diagrams and my understanding is that the 3208 is basically the same as the 3008 but with a higher resolution, so it can detect smaller changes in voltage. The 3208 has a 12-bit resolution and the 3008 has a 10-bit resolution. So I don't know for sure since I haven't tried the 3208, but I think you could use either one. If you try a 3208, please let me know if it works or not.
