I travelled from Central Shanghai on a newly opened Metro Line, to Station Zhujiajiao.
Out of the Station on a racing day, It would have been well if the weather was dry and lear to take a boat from the Station to the Centre of Zhujiajiao ancient water town.
Another option was to take the local bus or even a trouser bus to the centre, Instead I was rewarded by a lovely honest and kind Rickshaw man who you are able to see, he said it was 20 Yuan to the entrance to the town, Well it was raining and He said He will take me to all the places of interest and showed the map and I was told it was 100 Yuan, It jumped on the idea for him to cycle me around and drop me back at the Metro station.
I could have walked in the rain and also I could have used the bus only for 10th of the price I paid for the Rickshaw man.
Well on a raining day it is a good and win win day for both. Also the man was a wonderful and kind and genuinely caring man.
My small gesture not only that I was able to experience something of the past that is fast fading away from Chinese streets.
He was cycling up hill with his legs no motors or electric peddles. Just pure human legs did all the cycling.
