Ok I’m about to low key rant. For anyone who has seen gossip girl u will get this. So I think the whole Rini vs Rina thing is like Chair vs Dair. But it honestly shocks me how people r actually comparing them. Like Chuck and Blair has so much potential and chemistry. They actually showed what it’s like to fall in love. Neither of them said I love you at first. And that really shows how much of a big deal it is. As the show went on you could tell it’s actual love. And then they just throw in a random pairing and somehow people shipped it. I always liked dan and Blair as a friendship. And a lot of people r like “oh but love is better when it’s unexpected.” But the thing is chair was unexpected. Blair thought she had her whole life planned out with Nate. And then all of a sudden she caught feelings for someone she would have never thought she would. And the whole dair thing was not love. Even though dan said it she never said it back. And she definitely never thought of it as love. She even told Serena the next time she said it she wanted to say it to the one. Dair was also unbelievably toxic. But we’re not gonna get into it. Now here’s where rini and Rina come in. Ricky and nini are clearly in love. And it’s not even ricky’s fault he didn’t say I love you. It was addressed his parents had been having issues for a while. So it was hard for him. He was just confused. But still just because he didn’t say it doesn’t mean he doesn’t. He did tell her that he didn’t not love her also. Now Rina. I don’t think it’s a ship. They came out of nowhere. And I see it more as a friendship. Here’s what I’m saying basically. Rini is like chair. And Rina is like Dair. Now scroll back up to what I said about the 2 ships. Alright. (This just my opinion) Nini and Ricky can never seem to be just friends, one they have a lot of history and two u can tell they miss each other so so much and care about each other too.
