Another great vlog. I’m learning stuff about these ex boxers that I’d not known. It’s opened my eyes up. I’ve heard a lot about Ricky but never met him. I use to go to Elstree collage for one day a week for four years and we met a load of Eastenders actors as we were allowed to use their canteen. This is going back 36 years 😩. All the best Matt. I'd say this is the best interview I've seen on line. Absolute quality. Ricky talks so well about the bomb. I used to play cards with Ricky's step dad terry in a spiller at the back of canning town station in Victoria Dock Road. If you see this Rick terry was a top man and loved talking about you and your career ❤ I first meet him in west ham Lane jumbo car spares 😂

Hello matt. I've only got a email with work so I sort one out and get back to you ..... did ricky tell you when the bomb walked into the pauls head with a horse ? The guvnor billy morgan said to the bomb get that fucking horse out of here bill lol the bomb said don't worry its had a piss and shit outside hahaha ..... was up the spill one day and the real heavy mob turned up ( old bill all tooled up ) looking for a local face and they said no one is allowed to leave. The bomb Roy Lane and big Harry ( shutterblind ) all got up and walked out all told the old bill to fuck off lol. The old bill just all looked at each other shrugging there shoulders and looking like what should we do now 😂 Once I sort email I give you a message.

Micheal quarry was a friend of mine here in Orange County bill the bomb must have had a ball over here with Micheal. so sad there all past on. I lived in canning town barking road , the royal oak pub there on the corner. boxing gym upstairs.been writing my book takes a long time very hard. getting there though.all boxers are great met them all Marvin hagler sugar ray. list goes on. looking forward to your podcast all the best .

Hi Matt, in your opinion who would have won a street fight in their prime between Bill the Bomb and Paul Sykes? I think Sykes had to much power and strength for bill, so would have overpowered him.😊

That's a good question. Both good boxers and street fighters, Sykes was in to the strength training aswell. I think Yammy B said they had a mutual respect in Prison. They were lined up to box at one point aswell. I've never seen Bill fight, so it's a hard one to call. 👊🥊

@@mattlegg1976ll there's a story that when sykes bill and roy shaw were in prison, Shaw give it to sykes and sykes beat Shaw very quickly. Then Shaw wanted a rematch and again sykes beat Shaw easy, apparently bill the bomb was a friend of Shaw and bill went up to sykes and said " why did you beat Up roy"??? And sykes reply was "bill if the geezer comes up to you and wants a fight what am I supposed to do" and it was left at that so yeah I think there was a mutual respect there...

Ever considered talking about the tough guys from wrestling? Not what they did on stage in the ring - but what some of them got up to behind the scenes. There's a guy called "Haku" and "Meng". My opinion is that he would have beaten even Lenny Mclean in a street fight. There's loads of stories about Haku / Meng, on the internet. Lots of wrestlers talk about how otugh he was - fighting in clubs etc.
