I saw Steamboat & Youngblood vs Valentine & Stevens at 9 years old in Asheville NC in 1980 and to this day one of the best matches i have ever seen. On my feet the whole time. Too bad it will never be the same, A truly magic time,

this show consistently gets the guests from the classic era...guest after guest ...just hitting home runs. combined with two legendary hosts who enjoy the stories as much as the fans...I watched the slaughter one and they let him talk for awhile and he just spit stories that are classic. I couldn't be more satisfied as a fan who grew up in the 80s era...the Tommy wildfire rich /buzz sawyer fued was my introduction to wrestling...I was 7.. I was hooked living in New york and watching Georgia wrestling on the new cable TV that was pumping up north....then the wwf becoming huge...my Saturdays were set....love this show gentlemen

@@anthonylove1364..I really find he keeps the guests on point with the stories because they know gerald is an encyclopedia on the business...alot of shows it is the younger guys interviewing the older guys about all the stories so the old guys tend to embellish or mix up memories...having gerald their is like a fact checker so the guests are on point...they also open up more because they know he came up during the hard years in the business...to see a guy like Kevin von Erich open up when he is always guarded and apprehensive was just great ...you are right..gerald is a treasure for the fans

The first match I ever saw on television was a Steamboat/Youngblood tag team match from Maple Leaf Wrestling in Toronto and I was hooked from the get-go. I can’t remember who their opponents were but I can credit Ricky and Jay for starting my lifetime of wrestling fandom. Thanks for another fantastic episode, gentlemen.🤘

Listening to the psychology behind getting the Brisco Brothers from white meat Babyface’s to despicable Heel’s in a believable way getting the angle over shows the level of expertise of all four wrestler’s. Amazing!

This was a cool vid with Ricky. Grew up a big fan of Steamboat even though he was a bit before my time but always remember the old Wcw tapes I’d get from blockbuster and Hollywood video bins for 5 bucks as a kid and etc. wwe YT vids with his time there and the network in more recent years. One of the all time greats and awesome interview!

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat (the LEGEND !) vs. "The American Dragon," Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) = that would make for an interesting matchup... Special Guest Referee: the "Nature Boy," Ric Flair... Commentators: Jim Ross (good ol' J.R.), Tony Schiavone and Taz; Ring Announcer: Gary Michael Capetta or Tony Chimel. This Interview is Cool ! a PG product would have not allowed it's commentators to say the word "Blood," (as a result of "blading," "juicing" or "getting color") but the name "Steamboat," sounds much safer.
