Holy Sh!t ! I’m a guy who picked up the guitar later in life and figured out a few cowboy chords and learned to tune the guitar and pretty much have been stuck there . It’s like you flipped the switch for me. I never really tried to memorize notes because I have fun screwing around with the few chords I know and I fake it a bit but I wish I saw this years ago ! You break it down so even this old knuckle dragger can understand ! Thanks

I'm really happy to see that you went the extra mile and re-shot this CAGED "GPS". I have struggled with the CAGED system for a long time. I tried every angle I could to figure out how to use the patterns. I hit a stone wall when I got to the CAGED MODES *#@&%? Your interpretation looks likes it is worth spending time with - it is considerably more logical. It looks like I will be able to put the time I already invested to good use now. I'm kind of late, but well done and thank you.

Ok Ricky I watched this video at least 5 times B4 but now I believe I finally got the CAGED system, the only thing is each time you do it I get lost again and I have to rewind 2x to get it.

Cheers Bill. I suppose I was trying to justify the value of learning the CAGED system. I get a little defensive when the cork sniffing guitar snobs poo poo it. I’m not saying it’s the ONLY way to understand the guitar BUT it IS a way. We all take different paths to get to where we want to be as musicians. This is an obvious path to explore and denying it has any value is...well, I’ll save that for a rant video lol. Glad you enjoyed it. This only scratches the surface so I’ll do more involved tutorials as time goes by in quarantine. Stay safe :)

You should do a video going over the peavey amp. I have the same amp and can't seem to get a good tone. I also never used the input your plugged into either I'm sure there's a lot it can do I just don't know about. Your content is great btw!

Eyup Cory! Unfortunately I don't have the Peavey any more. I used to use my Digitech GNX360 plugged in to the fx return so I could bypass the preamp if that helps. All the tone were in the GNX.

Rick you're very valuable, gonna patreon soon as I'm home. I've been looking everywhere for this lesson, couldn't find it because it needs to have a acronym or something... Also, you cant screen pi ture anything from youtube on my computer, wont allow it, so we need to "pdf" everything we want to print off.... I’m not sure what you mean Scotty! You want to teach lessons on KZfaq and start your own channel? If that’s so. Just start! You don’t need permission. Just do it. It might suck at first and be overwhelming but it gets easier. Tech has been a massive frustrating part of my channel growth. Make a channel. Record a video. Upload. Repeat!
