For the first time in Rico/Chet, we pit two ships of the same nation against each other! They are German Tier VIII battleships. The legendary Tirpitz will face off against newcomer Zieten. Time-proven armor versus high caliber and rate of fire.

Schileffen's secondary is miles better but GK is better at sustaining, just like Zeiten vs Tirpitz here.

True test is to just find someone with Stalingrad and find out. What do you want to test on them??? Stalingrad has main guns that are brutal at 305mm with improved pen angles and pin point accuracy. I have never had a Puerto Rico beat me on Stalingrad. 😆

@@kuramathewolf So was Alaska and Petropavlosk. Both were hard to Citadel because the Citadel was below water level. Wows fixed them so now they can be. Hit ships at certain angles sometimes gets threw if the shells don't bounce.

Love the RNG in the fireing test! 18k on 5km, 1k on 10km for Zieten. 6k on 5km for Tirpitz, but 19k on 15km!😅

The first two tests are literally the reason, why I aim higher, works so much better. The fact, that I found this out, when I was new to the game makes it even better for me.

The reason why Zieten can't citadel Tirpitz is because of her turtleback armor, which makes Tirpitz almost impossible to citadel.

thanks for the attempt to exalt the tirpitz, but the reality is different: -tirpitz does not have 490mm of protection, its protection is 315mm at water height, and if citadel it is only 45mm (I will not count the mythical "turttleback armor", because as tirpitz has a smaller draft than bismarck, the turrtleback armor is more higher than it should and does not always protect it, that is the reason why on occasions the premium receives more hits in the citadel than its sister ship. -zietten is more accurate than tirpitz, and reloads his guns much faster (tirpitz's 26s vs zietten's 22.5s... obviously his brilliant results will differ "just a little" from reality). -zietten has less HP than tirpitz, which will always leave him at a disadvantage, but in compensation, the battlecruiser has much better concealment than the battleship, so he has the advantage of spotting his enemy earlier and deciding whether to go into battle, and what distance do you want to fight. -the "excellent" tirpitz torpedoes are useless if you have to approach 6km, with a detection of 15km stock (13.2 full), instead zietten has a detection (with all the improvements) of only 11.4km, and his torpedoes are 12km...so he can launch the torpedoes, turn and start shooting while running away and guide his enemy to said torpedoes (which since they are slow, they don't arrive quickly and many players are confident that "they don't I launch them" and they chase the battlecruiser). - in case of a 1vs1 at very close range, zietten has "hydroacoustic search" and tirpitz does not, so the battlecruiser will see and can anticipate the torpedoes, while tirpitz can only rely on the experience of the player using it... that is the reason that dorpitz ends up being sunk by torpedoes more times than other german battleships, because if there is a DD in the area and there is more than 1 enemy watching him, he will be able to launch torpedoes at him in a hidden way and if the tirp player is not cautious... you will end up subscribed to the "Warships Geographic channel" watching a whole marathon of "the mysteries of the underwater world".

Man, its clearly comercial. Some guy took a data, and it said that devs played like 300 battles in 1year. ALL DEVELOPERS together played 300battles... Doesnt suprise me that they dont even know that tirpitz have turtleback xD

The single shot must have had adjustments to dispersion. The full volleys have RNG and you need repetition to build an average.

They explained that shell in a previous episode. It has perfect (zero) dispersion, hits exactly where it is aimed.

zietan relies a bit more on her secondaries with only 6 main guns and accurate secondaries, while tirpitz is slightly more balaced with 8 guns and less secondary accuracy.. If you really want a armor dd, try khabarovsk

The shots at range should really be at least samples of three shots/salvos to account for the variation in damage. You had a case where the damage at 10 miles was lower than both 5 miles and 15 miles.

@@b-17gflyingfortress6 that's not a vary good comparison because Vermont is a tir 10 and Tirpitz is tir 8. A good comparison would be Montana vs Vermont. Tir 10 has more mods and upgrades to choose from including a UU where tir 8 ships don't have access to some mods and a UU. This fight works because it 2 ships of the same nation at the same tir being compared.

They are both sister ships, but Tirpitz was planned to be stronger than the Bismarck. Since Tirpitz was never let into battle they are pretty close but im sure tirpitz would win by a smidge point.

@@SilverFox725actually Tirpitz was better in terms of base stats, but Bismarck did have the admiral. Overall though the armament is the same except for the torpedoes, which could play a crucial part in slowing down the Bismarck. Tirpitz also had way better AA. Overall the Tirpitz was better, but had the Bismarck not been destroyed, same modifications would have been made to him, and the two ships would be roughly equal.

you choosed most heavily armored dd as a elbing,lol elbing has 25 mm armor and both bbs secondaries can pen 25mm armor so basically there is no armor to stop secondaries
