Impressing: His sheer will necessary to put so much physical effort in it. Inspiring: His professional discipline to mindfully rationalize every part of the training, to face and eraze any mistake and to train with the mind always switched on. That psychical discipline is something you rarely find - no matter if inside or outside a gym. Rico is a huge idol for me even though he's just 3 years older than me!

+mark markovic it is popular because modern kickboxing started here, the first world class trainers were dutch as were the kickboxers. world champs allways reach the news in their home countries ( K1 heavyweight champs from 1993 to 2013, 16 times out of 20 the dutch took home the belt (we did great in other weightcalles too), so we have allot of kids who got inspired like rico explained. also most of us see it as a valid combat sport in effectiveness therefor most dutch people pick it over other martial arts.

MrJosephkb its a high altitude mask. It simulates the low air pressure that you get when youre on a mountain. Many athletes especially cyclists, kickboxers, etc. use this because its gives your lungs the ability to get used to a low amount of oxygen, wich increases the stamina and the power in your muscles.
