Highlights of the classic fight battle between Riddick "Big Daddy" Bowe and Evander "Real Deal" Holyfield in 1992. This fight is for the undisputed heavyweight championship were Holyfield's WBA,, WBC and IBF titles were on the line against a 24 year old Riddick Bowe.
Sorry I have not been uploading for a while as I was occupied with travels and stuffs during the holiday season.

Holyfield was the real deal, but the size of Bowe and his punches don't sound soft once he gets Evander. It's no wonder he won. Fast is good, but the weight of the hit will be greater! Once it catches.

What makes Evander so great is that he wasn't even a true heavyweight. Yet he still fought in the heavyweight division and didn't duck or dodge any fighter and still gave them a run for their money.

This fight gives me goosebumps. One of the most underrated fights of all time. The punches landed by both of these guys... I can't imagine the permanent brain damage that was done during those 12 rounds. But so much respect for both of them.

Both Bowe And Holyfield are quite healthy physically and mentally now. They actually train daily even now and they are actually pretty jacked and fit. It's all genetics I guess

In the old times boxers had heart and spirit apart from the technicalities, they literally beat the hell outta eachother......but now its all defense and technical. No one could take beating like holyfield nor do you find any hard hitters.

One of best fights in modern times . Virtually little to no grappling/holding! 100% slug fest boxing. Riddick for the larger man seldom threw a jab. Amazing both fighters could sustain the punishment. Conditioning & courage

WTF? In the 10th round after getting nailed, holyfield is actually walking towards his opponent while in trouble! Most boxers would be in retreat.. True Warrior

Well with a more practical standpoint, moving in closer means Bowe has less space to punch which also means Holyfield take less powerful shots. If he were to retreat Bowe with chase him with haymakers which would have more power.

@@CarlJohnson-xk1jp perhaps, still the same concept applies as a short punch would have less power due to the little space available, especially compared to the massive haymakers Bowe would have thrown if Holyfield tried to retreat when hurt. Holyfield should have clinched Bowe when he got close to further minimise damage.

Round 10 has to be the most spectacular round in heavyweight history. The heart displayed by those 2 men is unparalleled they left their souls in that ring in that last minute of that round their bodies were just on auto pilot and brain was shut off their heart was controlling them.

Both are two of the most underrated fighters that I have ever seen fight. Bo was an absolute monster, while Evander was a great technician. Bo was awesome during his prime.

All the 70's-80's heavyweight fights were this brutal, but not at this high a pace. George Foreman, Ali, Joe Frazier Larry Holmes etc were unreal. And they went 15 rounds.

So 1985-1990 and Lewis only turned pro in 1998, in no way he was gonna fight Tyson in his second year of being a professional. They could've fought in 1996 but Tyson turned down the Lewis fight to fight Holyfield. So don't think Lewis could've ever ducked Tyson

We talk about Holyfield's heart and chin and rightly so but in the third fight Bowe was finished in the sixth round but showed just as much heart getting off the canvass and winning.

That 3rd fight is also a fight Holyfield was advised to postpone because hepatitis. It can cause you to have sudden dramatic drains in energy

Oh you can watch the fight and see what the doctor told Holy about his energy ebbing and flowing was happening. No doubt but he still could have won that fight in the sixth if Bowe who started to get up and fell back down didnt have the heart to try it again. Foreman even said he wasnt going to get up that is how much heart it took

Fury still a good fighter but too many caught up in recency bias are saying Fury is one of the very best ever and better than Lennox Lewis which is absurd. Furys resume cant even be compared to the a class champion as Holy or Lewis who fought the best throughout their career

If they don't care about knockouts ,I think they'll do pretty well and can definitely beat Holyfield. Lewis was taller and very agile ,so I think he has a good chance against prime Klithscho brothers and even Tyson Fury. But,the others ? I don't think so. For example ,I don't think Mike defeats Fury. Fury's size is too big of an advantage and he would play smart.

Like Ali/Frazier, Ali/Norton, Tyson/Ruddock, Robinson/LaMotta this series changed both men. It depleted each demonstrably. Bowe even had a similar experience with Golota that also drained his reserve permanently. This series is ranks in top two or three of heavyweight matchups that I'm aware of. @K.F.C KERNEL Tyson wasnt that big but he was also heavier than Evander when they fought. Holyfield never outweighed a heavyweight he faced.

Evander is my favorite fighter of all time. I actually went to this fight. I wanted Holyfield to win but Bowe was too big and tough for Evander. I wasn't sad about the loss because Holyfield didn't quit! He fought like the true champion he was. The next day I had the pleasure of meeting Pernell Whitaker. We discussed the fight and he said that I shouldn't worry because Evander would be back. He was right! That was the first boxing match that I ever attended. That was a great experience!

Evander Real Deal Holyfield was definitely one of my favorite heavyweight boxers Of All Times aside from Tyson. Real deal was all heart. This truly is one of the best fights. Riddick Bowe was also a great fighter. This era bread the best boxers of all time💯💯👏

I honestly think these are the two greatest fighters (all disciplines) of all time…I know everyone’s gonna say things about records/legacy/Ali/Tyson etc…it’s this trilogy in this era of heavyweight boxing that more or less retired both of them and at their peak these two are the picture perfect heavyweight specimens. Both were fast, fit, powerful and technical at this moment in their careers and both had to come so correct against each other and both had unbreakable wills. The punishment they could absorb and dish out was incredible and scary to watch

Lewis demolished him in the 88 Olympics then they offered Lewis a 10/90 split of the purse to fight Bowe. I don’t think Bowe wanted any of it so he got a lucky break Mcall KOed Lewis.

When Bowe was in shape, he was one of the best and a deadly inside fighter. And I can’t say enough good things about Holyfield. Huge heart for a smaller guy that often fought guys much bigger than him.

Great fight. Bowe was in some ways under rated. But how great is Holyfield. Fighting as a small heavyweight, he was simply amazing and probably I ne of the best of all time. He would never have been beaten in his natural cruiser weight division.

Wow. I only can say wow. What incredible fight. Two of the best in a great match. Iam a great fan of holyfield and i respect his stand In this fight. So much heart and he was hit so hard but kept on fighting. Wow. And much much respect to the great bowe. He was a so great.. I wish he kept on his karrier.. Image he vs tyson and he vs Lewis. This was an Era with so many good fighters. I salute them
