Hi guys and welcome to my RIDE 4 Tips/Tricks/guide video. Today we're looking at some of the tips and DrAce advice to help improve with corner entry and braking in general.
Ride 4 is an excellent instalment to Milestone Italy's brilliant bike series.
Bikes handle just as well as MotoGP 20 does and the graphics are beautiful!
I truly hope this guide has helped you if not let me know in the comment section below and I'll do my very best to create a further detailed guide
Any questions or video request for Ride 4 let me know in the comment section below.
As a variety gaming channel I'll play pretty much anything, hit me up if you have any video requests.
I upload brand new content everyday so consider hitting the notification bell to avoid dissapointment.

got the game last night. 1st set of rounds was a disaster lmao. flying in every curves. then I watch this vid! and I got the right rhythm. to those who's been complaining about it's controls(even mentioned they're riding a 1000cc bikes pfft) of course this is different from real life. It's not about controls! it's the track awareness. you should study every curve when to release the throttle, press the brake and accelerate. and every bike have different timing. discipline is the key! still thanks DrAce! couldn't do it without you! now I'm enjoying the game! will upload my gameplay soon 😋

What i do in corners is i use rear brake before corners than front brake it helps to slow both wheels down than apply light pressure. and don't use abs that increases brake distance. and turn up engine brake for fast courses but not to much it can upset the bike. and mess up the balance in corners. And turning down anti wheelie can make u faster out of corners if u set it up right. It can give more exit speed. I do moto gp sometimes to. And remember when to use rear brake for tight turns using front brake will make it understeer or crash. Using rear brake is the key.
@DrAce46
@DrAce46 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your input mate 👍🏻 I think incorporating the rear brake and making it a prominent part of braking for newcomers is a bit too demanding. But with practice I think the rear brake is also imperative for some corners but I would also make a point of riding style. I know some players who are lethal on the rear brake and never have anything left for the latter stages of the race. I like to use the rear very sparingly. I’m going to take at a look at your advice in regards to the anti wheelie! I like the sound of gaining more speed ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻 sounds like you’re on top of your game mate 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

One thing that’s nice in MotoGP 22 is you can adjust the function of your buttons in the Control Config menu. @@filthyscorpion if you don’t limit the rear brake button, the rear brake will engage 100% when you hit it. Stepping on it like that usually locks up the rear tire causing a crash. @@DrAce46 Quick question. In your other video you show the left analog stick working full time to position the weight. I tried that, but when I’m pushing the stick up, my top speed drops and my lap times are now 10 second slower. Any idea why that is? Is it because I have assists on?
@souldry

@@DrAce46never mind, think I got it. I had automatic tuck in, so I guess the weight transfer from the analog stick overrides auto tuck, whereas it doesn’t for manual tuck controls.

I’ve been playing bike games for years so I’m already very used to the racing and the feeling of the bikes. The biggest difference to learn is that it’s not a car game so you need to learn the braking and the turning all over again. Everything is much earlier, from turning in and braking. Just take your time it and you’ll get there. I have a few guides on the channel that may help 👍🏻👍🏻

Great video!! I have a question: the downshifting is also important for breaking?? There's a way to downshift the gears that allow to you to breake harder?? I'm telling this because i have a bad problem with the breaking in this game. Very often when i brake i go straight 'cause i can't brake too hard to stop me. I've tried everything (downshifting the gears in more ways, put the breaking in hard in the set up of the bike, moved the left analogic stick down to have more stability of tye bike, used clutch) but nothing. Very often the bike's rpm go down very slow and as a consequence the bike doesn't stop well. I don't use the rear brake for breaking because i don't like use it and for the bike's stability during the breaking. In few words: which is the way to stop the bike well and even during the hard breaking? One exhample? Donington turn 11 after the charge of directions (turn 9-10) i can't stop the bike with the front brake
@DrAce46
@DrAce46 3 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, I would definitley advise to brake earlier than normal. I would aslo recommed using a bit of rear brake hear and there it's very important to scrub off additional speed. The downshfiting is important if you're going trying to really increase your lap times but isn't totally neccesary. In the sense of just improving bike handling I would suggest that you don't use downshifting just yet. Only bring it in when you're comfortable. Hope this has helped mate :D

@@DrAce46 by the way, I may have a problem with my old Xbox One controller, with the RT button. It feels as though it only uses 99% of the trigger. The bikes get to their top speed normally with WASD. So for you, what is the utility of the rear brake? I have found that it helps to tap it for pointing the bike to where you want to go by causing a controlled oversteer, but it usually is when your speed entry is above the desired one. Maybe a qualy lap. Do you find it useful to shift the riders weight for heavy breaking? I play in 110% very hard, 67% and helmet CAM. Currently level 201, and just now getting through ride 4 KZfaq tutorials to up my game. Thanks.

I use the rear brake aggressively when under heavy braking. Such as turn 1 for Nurburgring. If it’s a small correction i’ll tap the rear brake just enough to slow down and correct the understeer
