Apparently the 5000 series were way too heavy for the Blue Line tracks so they restricted the Blue line for 3200 and 2600 railcars.

You can only see the 5000 Series on the Blue Line during the weekday Rush Hour between UIC-Halsted and Jefferson Park

All it takes is the train operator to tell passengers on the train or at a station about their final destination
