I didn't have especially high expectations but came away having a really great time with Riders Republic. I'm pleasantly surprised by how much fun this game was.

I played the beta and trial and honestly this is the best game ubisoft has made in years. Very fun, not buggy, good replayability, and it's unique not just another copy paste open world action rpg

Steep (Ubisofts previous x-sport game) was very fun to play, this evolution looks amazing and I can't wait to play. Also made me miss the x-sports I used to do (before I got old, haha)

@@NoNeXiStEnT007 Definitely not, unless you value cosmetics. I'm not sure if the gold version gives higher tier gear as well, but even if it did, I would advise against it. A good incentive in the game is to do better in each event to really earn the better gear. So in my opinion, outright buying it would be boring.

People have been giving Ubisoft a lot of unwarranted hate for how fast they have released games. replaying watch dogs 1 + 2, steep, and now seeing riders republic coming out. There's a lot of talent still on the team!

I love the feature of being able to switch between sports and keep your speed. I love using the rocket skis to get like 100mph of speed and then switching to a bike and launching off a huge road gap and landing like 200 feet deep 😂

No ones pointing out the fact the map is HUGE. Gta 5 is 75 km squared. RR is 250kms squared. And no map lag. Unreal

This game is a nice change of pace. I also grew up in the mountains of New England (the white mountains of NH) and I had a blast with this, I'm buying it for sure.

Best advice I can give, You have to be into these types of games to buy riders republic, I’ve never been into this and I bought it, Played it for 20 minutes and got bored then got a refund, if you enjoy these types of games however, You’ll love it

The Air sports does have trick mode. The wing suit with flying close to the ground and near misses gives you a score.

FYI, you can fast travel NOT right at the event but to the closest fast travel point that is near the event. And Mass Races can be up to 64 players. I love this game. I'm having so much fun and even if I don't win in these events I don't feel like I lost. The journey (gameplay) is definitely more important (fun) than the destination (win)

National Park Ranger and Steep fan here. Yeah I am buying this game right now. I see Grand Teton, Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon, Yosemite, Sequoia and Mammoth Mountain (outside of Sequoia).

I played it on my ps4 as it was free from 8 Feb to 14 Feb and wanna try this and the game first impressions blew my mind it's so awesome , I loved it, really fun to play and it's my 1st extreme sports game and it is amazing , really recommend everyone and must buy

if you ever notice with the bike while you’re not moving. there’s a small detail where your character will raise and lower the dropper post. Which is a cool detail!

Yeah air does have a trick mode too.. proximity tricks. Flying as close to the ground as possible gives you trick points. You have to unlock wingsuit by completing the first rocket wing race to play this type of races

My local retailer started selling this two days earlier, bought it, and couldn’t wait to play it. Turns out I can’t play it, because the servers are offline so no story etc. I can play free roam, but nothing earned is saved.

Nice review - I have been on the fence with this. The trial was ok - didn’t love it or hate it. I did not like Steep, not Arcady enough for me but this might be. Like you said at the end, not sure I see myself playing long term but I think I’ll give it a chance since I am itching for a new game until Halo in December.

I'm a black guy from the Caribbean that has ZERO interest in any of these sports... Played the demo, and it's fun... I'll definitely get it... That fact may be a good thing or a bad thing to you... Lol... Maybe the hardcore Xsports guys will hate it, but the casuals like me will love it... Seems like it's the Fortnite of Xsports games (I hate Fortnite, ironically)

This game would appeal more to me if it wasn't so painfully cringe all of the time. I can feel the marketing team in suit and tie trying to appeal to "the kids" during every interaction with an NPC lol. That said as someone old enough to have enjoyed "Cool Boarders" on PS1 maybe I'm just not the target market X_X They do seem to have nailed the feel though, the audio and ripple on the clothing is so cool.

It’s not just you bro. Every single cutscene the riders are always shouting and acting energetic and it is extremely bizarre because there is no alcohol or drug use to indicate that the riders are just having a “good time”. It’s a fun game, but it’s like mentally ill people gathered together and decided to do extreme sports.

Honestly the game at Lauch is already a very good game and overall in my opinion better than steep. The mass races are pour chaos but so much fun. I have some minor issues with the game but the one thing that bugs me are the bugs. Nowhere near unplayable but just annoying when they happen especially in the mass races. But I still recommend this game to anyone who likes going very fast.

I played the beta and one thing I really didnt enjoy was the camera. When I gained speed the camera kept lowering behind my character, couldnt see what was in front of me. bloody annoying. Was there, is there a setting to disable that?

You can change the control settings back to default to be able to control the camera with the right joystick. There’s no camera control option in the trickster mode🥲

play in 1st person, its a million times better. wayyyyyy higher sense of speed, and you can see everything. Just dont do tricks

I have never bought a Gold Edition of any games for $100 USD in my entire life. I would wait until the game goes on sale or when they release the GOTY Edition that includes everything. This is the first game I'm very likely to buy the $100 Gold Edition on day one. There's something about an open world wilderness that reminds me of my days camping and hiking in the mountains that is so enticing.
