My first time in Macau! What a place! 🇲🇴 In this Macau travel vlog we will explore the most popular things to do and see.
Macau is also known as the Las Vegas of Asia, because you can find incredible hotels and casinos such as MGM, Wynn hotels, The Venetian, The Londoner, The Parisian, Grand Lisboa casino and so many more.
But Macau offers way more than just casinos and hotels. There is history, culture and a very fascinating colonial old town.
We will check out the most popular things to do in Macau:
The ferry from Hong Kong to Macau, the Historical side of Macau: The Ruins of Saint Paul's (Walls of St Paul Church), Monte fort, Senado Square.
Then we will move to some hotels and casino on Macau Island: Wynn hotel, MGM and Treasure Island. And then at night time we cross the bridge and explore the famous Cotai Strip.
At The Cotai Strip you really feel like you are in Las Vegas. We will visit The Venetian, The Londoner, The Parisian, Galaxy hotel, MGM Cotai, Wynn Palace and some more hotels..
The day after we will check out the Giant Panda Pavilion and the beach in Macau
Sit back, relax and enjoy this video.

I visited Macau so many times (3 or 4 times every year) when I lived in Hong Kong. In the early days it was truly a sleepy place with great Macanese and Portuguese food. It’s changed so much over the years, but it still holds a special place in my heart. After 30 years I left Hong Kong, so haven’t been back to Macau in 7 years, but if there was one place in the world I would go if someone says “the world will end in 24 hours but this magic carpet will take you to anywhere you want.” I’d go to Coloane - the island at the south, to the little square that is home to St Francis Xavier church. At the little outdoor restaurant there, I’d order grilled Portuguese sardines, prawns with garlic and chilli - and a lot of Portuguese wine. ❤

I visited Hong Kong after my high school, it was amazing, then it was a nice exploring to go to Macau, very unique chinese ambiente, i liked it very much....now it looks so different ! Great video Gabi 😊👍

Thanks for this interesting video Gabi. I've vaguely heard of Macau. It was interesting to hear about its history. I'm not a gambler and I haven't been to Las Vegas (I live in Africa) but it looks much cleaner and safer than Las Vegas. Parties do somehow go together with gambling I agree. I guess alcohol adds another whole layer to managing a gambling city but just like the ladies of the night I'm sure there are parties (probably expensive private parties) going on behind closed doors in Macau!

They did just put in a waterpark in the Studio City hotel in Macau. We saw them advertising it when we went two weeks ago. The Ferrris wheel was also really fun to do.

Yes I have been to old Maccau, and bus on weekends are free............also they had lovely water show done by Russians...........love the city........the new Maccau was still in process of being built......brought back old memories.......thanks Gabi for this video.

My dad lived in Macao for around 12 years and so I visited twice. It's a very strange place. I always find it super hard to describe. But a very interesting visit nonetheless!

Macau is indeed cleaner, safer, and more family-friendly than Vegas. There are tons of bars and nightclubs but they are indeed somewhat siloed from the Cotai strip and whatnot (perhaps in keeping with that family-friendly vibe). The reason the taxi driver was pushing the "happy ending" spa (legal in Macau) is because they get commissions for referring customers.

It was the weekend and most hotels in macau were fully booked. I choose one on Macau Island but I was not so happy with it, that’s why I didn’t show it in the video…
