I had forgotten Ridge dumped her for Ashley too. The writers keep forcing them together though. Brooke has always refused to accept Ridge’s rejections. Just like a stalker she keeps lurking around until a weak moment when she gets her hooks in.

Brooke has created so much chaos because she can't make up her mind who or what she wants. Eric, Ridge, Thorne, Nick and a whole slew of men in between. I'm not surprised her kids ended up with serious issues with so many different men turning up in their lives and then leaving. It's unbelievable that anyone, especially Ridge, would take her at all seriously when she insists she is in love and that it's destiny. It's one of the things about this particular soap that was always laughably stupid.

If Brooke hadn't tried so hard trying to make it happen, if she would have let Ridge go, she would have found a happy life with any or all of those men she was with and married. if she had chosen available men, that would have been something. She never let the man's being committed to another woman stand in her way. If it was meant to be, it would have been. If you have to try so hard, maybe it isn't right.
