About Me:
Hello, my name is Dan Shannon. I grew up in a small town in New Brunswick, Canada. At a young age, I started working with tools. One of my favourite projects was using a scroll saw to make an old fashioned sleigh ornament in grade 8. As an adult I dove back into my love for woodworking. I’m married with two precious little girls, and I do my own renovations on the house. Also, I like to build my daughters and my wife useful keepsakes out of wood in the shop. I started this KZfaq channel in March of 2023 because I wanted to share the knowledge I had over the years working with tools, as well as sharing the quality of rigid pro grade tools and their service agreement. I’m not a professional by any stretch and I don’t claim to be. I would just like to help those who want to start a shop like I did. I really enjoy helping people especially with shop related topics. so whether you’re a professional or beginner we can all learn from each other out in the shop. If you hand the saw up on a nail by the metal ring that tucks away, the oil will leak into and stay in the chain guard. No mess really.

How does the saw work with an older generation battery? I realize the run time may be much lower using a smaller amp battery. But will the saw still reach max or close to max turning speed with out using a Max Output battery? ... I'm curious to see how the saw works on the Max 4ah battery - VS - Hyper Li Lithium Ion 4ah Battery.

Yes it still works great. A bit less power but to be honest I only have one max output battery when I got the saw. After the max output was dead I used all my older batteries, cut just fine!! Definitely not a night a day difference, just slightly better. Hope that helps 😊. Dan

@@ShopTalkWithDanTheMan, Thanks! I only plan on using such a saw for limbing. I don't have any other use for a bunch of larger size batteries. Nice to know I can finish up the work I started with an older model battery until the new one gets charged!

Thanks!! Not sure if they will, but in the meantime I use a worx pole saw. Cordless with a detachable end. Really nice product. I’ll do a review on that soon. 😊Dan
