Three Years of heavy use. How's my Ridgid R4331 13 inch Thickness Planer holding up? Pretty Darn Good.

I have this planer and absolutely love it. I have it mounted in a flip top rolling stand with a miter saw. I too have snipe issues and have tried the typical adjustments but so far no joy. I still would heartily recommend this planer.

Could you tell me the model number of the blades on the package if you have replaced them? For Planer R4331. Been confusion if it's supposed to be: AC20501 (notches on both ends) or AC20502 (no notches like factory shipped)

My blades don't seem to last. Not sure what i am doing wrong? Took very light passes but they dull up quickly

I've got the Ridgid planer and it shoots dust and chips out the front like crazy! Does yours do this and do you have any solution idea for it?

Paul Crotts not on mine. The dust collection is really good. Maybe something is clogged

I have heard that the blades tend to curve. Have you had that issue before?

I own one and had to rent one to finish a job. The fan has had to be fixed twice and I have had to remove the belt and do without. It also makes a terrible rattling noise and I am sure there is a loose screw or something in the motor. The roller bound up yesterday but after blowing into the engine with a compresser and cleaning the brushes, it worked but rattles like hell. I rented an identical rigid planer....after an hour...it made the same noise. What did you experience. I bought second hand so no long term warranty but I am ready to give up and buy some other brand. What was your experience???
