Michael Phelps's putt at the Alfred Dunhill Championship was simply astounding. The longest televised putt in history.... Another Gold medal 🏅? 🤣🤣

Even stranger is that the commentator seemingly has no idea how a golf ball launches. Even with a downward angle of attack, you don't 'squeeze the ball down into the ground'. It launches upward straight off the clubface. The only way to compress the ball into the ground with a negative launch angle is to cold top it, or deloft a long iron to an extreme, non-functional extent. There was no way Schwartzel was going to 'destroy the ball' at impact.

I see Michael Phelps is still in Super Saiyan mode, even in golf. Watch this video to see Tiger hitting a ball out of the Woods, sideways, on his knees! Legend has it that Oosthuizen's tee-off is still going... 10:20: He actually played it from the tree. The absolute madman. 11:23: I thought a "sacrifice fly" happened in another sport. D: 12:55: In "Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour", your ball could land on rocks, wood, bricks, and pipes in some courses. This clip inadvertently looks like an attempt at recreating that. ^^

That Quiros putt happened to me, but on like a 10 footer. Perfect speed, center cup, disappeared into the hole and then bounced back out. The guys we were matched up against were telling guys on the next hole about it.

But if he has to go behind where he was, he would be that much closer to the bushes. By hitting from where he was on the cart path it was easier to clear the bushes. At least that's what I believe he was thinking.

That wasn't from bounce, it was the spin he imparted on the ball to make it slice around the tree.
