Riding and Showing my GORGEOUS Yamaha Virago Custom Build!!

After 1.5 years of fully building and customizing our 1982 Virago 920 it's finally done and rideable!
It uses a 2005 Suzuki GSXR-750 front end, Yamaha R6 monoshock rear, newer generation virago rear wheel, and everything else uses high quality custom parts. The full parts list will be included in the build time-lapse video to be uploaded next!
"Hive" is what I name my custom motorcycles, and this particular one I named the LM920. The Apollo Spacecraft consisted of 3 parts; the Command Module, Service Module, and Lunar Module, or LM (pronounced "lem"). With our tank being the awesome satin color "Lunar Rock", I thought it only fitting to send this baby to the moon and name it after the color.

its thanks to your video of you putting on a later year virago rim that I was able to get knobbies on my virago since I ride a 89 virago and they don't make knobbies for 15in rear rims but the 81 to 83 viragos used 16in rims in the rear and they make knobbie tires for those so I bought a rim from an 83 virago and slapped a knobbie on it now I can go offroading on my 89 virago !

Awesome bike. Definitely spend as much time as you can with those kids. Mine are 8 and 13 now and it goes by quick. Excited for the next project.

Awesome video Brother. Let us know if you notice any cornering challenges to the left or right with the offset rear tire. I would guess the front tire would be either closer or further away from the corner. Perhaps only noticeable on a track at high speed. When are the offspring going to turn wrenches with you. Their little fingers and bodies can fit in some tight spaces.

Totally sick! The exhaust was worth it and the red wiring really pops. Could the brake fluid (I think that's what it is) reservoir sit on the left side to bring some visual balance? Nice touch with that. I'd love a timelapse edit of the whole build

I see where you're going with the brake reservoir...the clear hose would have to stretch to the other side of the handlebars then (because it feeds the master cylinder on the brake lever). But I like the creative thinking. The timelapse is being edited now!
