RIDING IN THE SUGAR BOWL OF THE PHILIPPINES

Күн бұрынWe flew over to Bacolod City to ride with other Rapha Cycling Club members (RCCBCD). Bacolod is an hour away from Manila by plane and is prominent for its central location in the country's largest sugar producing region. What a wonderful place to ride your bike, up mountains, through valleys and across flats. This ride takes us from Bacolod City to climb to the Ilaya Highland Resort in Patag, then through a lush forest to Lantawan, before descending to Silay, the Little Paris of Negros Occidental. Come join the ride amidst the rich and sweet culture of Bacolod!

Man, that ride must have been really awesome. Sayang walang drone. That museum is super cool I wonder how much that handwired bicycle was, i would've brought home a piece? So what made you go all the way to Bacolod, was it just some casual random meet up ride? Looks like you were the only one from RCCMNL to join. So proud of our beautiful country and really miss travelling. Keep having fun John-John

For me, a dessert lover, the best part about riding in Bacolod is rewarding myself to cakes from Calea afterwards! Excellent ride, thanks for taking us along J2.

Ohh @dessert comes first, I think our mistake was having more “rewards” than our efforts deserved. Everything was Namit❤️, everywhere! 🤣 The only one that didn’t gain weight was my bike! 🤣 I’m glad you enjoyed the ride! Cheers! 🍻

Dati sa Pampanga meron din mga truck na kagaya nyan. dinadala sa malapit sa Capitol meron kasi sugarmill dati pero matagal na din nag close. Nice ride btw. Great weather and the place is awesome.

@gidzlopez Hooray for seeing that the Rapha community can grow over there too! The recent Rapha presence on the ground is only beginning. It started with finally having official Rapha Ride Leaders in the Philippines, then Rapha Partner Cafés, and then now our first Rapha Retail Partner store. We are not an internationally recognized chapter yet, but I’m very hopeful that we can grow into those shoes. Until then, please continue to ride safely and to #ridetastefully. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be to ride a bike around Palawan 🤩. Cheers! 🎊🍻
