I purchased a 2024 Honda Ruckus and the first big ride I take it on snow covered forest roads.

So awesome you got one of those. It's also pretty stealthy. Not too loud and people tend to ignore scooters. You can kind of slip in and out of areas without much notice.

Ive been wanting a ruckus for soooo long. Then they released the grom and i was obsessed with it. Finally decided to learn to ride (motorcycles)...and broke my leg in the process. Needless to say....im bow back on the ruckus train 😂 i just couldnt get the shifting and clutching thing down

Damn hopefully you are recovered by now. I have bigger and more practical bikes but I always take the Ruckus as much as I can because it's so fun in just normal traffic in town as long as you're not in a rush. I'd still keep trying to learn how to ride a standard bike though if you can. Always nice to know in case you gotta ride a buddy's bike back or something similar

@@dualdorks thank, bro! I broke it the day before labor day (operation on labor day 2023) so im not even a year yet (where doc says i should be 100)... and thats true, ive never thought about that. Ppl immediately kept asking, "so are you done with the bikes?" And i couldnt answer. Im not scared of them (it was my stupid ass, not the bike)....it was just a HUGE reality check when i couldnt work/walk for 10 weeks. Very scary because it almost ruined me

@user-ft4hx6kk5w I broke my foot on my bike years ago and my work made a huge example out of me and made me feel like shit lol. Definitely not a fun time lol

That laugh, man, and the fact you are having FUN is making me crazy cause my black 2024 ruckus won't be in until the end of March.😂😂😂 I hope to have as much fun and i dont care how i look on it. Life is way too damn short!

You’ll love the Ruckus. I’ve got two, and I’ve done quite a few fun adventures on them. I own a Tdub, but broke my leg on it after a few rides.

I love the ruckus so far. I bought it 3 and a half weeks ago and almost have 500 miles on it already lmao. Its really fun commuting to work with it and crusing around the island here.

@@dualdorks you’ll love it. If it ever gives you trouble with starting, there’s a guy on KZfaq that has an awesome video on valve adjustment. It’s very easy. Get the maintenance manual. I put a heavier duty rear shock on mine for $100, and LED headlights. Those are the only mods I’d recommend. Get the under seat bag, and take her camping.

@@Abyssdiver I tipped over on a sharp boulder, and the weight of the bike pinned my leg against the boulder-snap! It’s been four months, and I’m just getting back to walking almost normally.

man I sold my Yamaha Zuma 50 and I deeply regret it, now I've been wanting a Ruckus (just because the newer models of the Zuma are so ugly), I live in a beach town and miss going for rides around. My car does 18mpg in the city I feel like just going for a quick beach stroll I spend like $10-15, and those scooters can easily get 100mpg you can ride all week for $5 lol

I just rode mine 50 Miles last night around the island cruising around and probably only went through $2.50 in fuel lol . I kinda like the look of the zuma 125 . One of those or the honda ADV 150 would be cool to have to do a BDR with.

@@dualdorks they look good but it annoys me that the two headlights (high beam/low beam) have different sizes , my OCD gets triggered

Ya, nothing I will ever need. But yes, something I WANT lol. I just bought my GF a 2023 Honda Giorno for a Christmas gift. Might just have to get myself one of these in the spring.

2014-2023 I simultaneously had a ZX9R and a Ruckus (UK Zoomer actually!) But truth be known, the "Ruckus" made me smile more, ...no one understood it, and when I decided to downsize big bike the ninja got sold and got a smaller bike, sensible logic went out the window and now I only have a 25mph Zoomer and a 60mph Honda Monkey. Fun does not come from size or speed!! Love the colours of your Ruckus, mine is black but I wanted yellow, it's been a blast, but now I.need to do head bearings and rear bearings 💁‍♂️😯

i have one, does it fine on hwy. stay right faster than all the bicycles. yea bac road country or 35 mph in town tops. also front foot pegs to stretch out a nust.

I got a 2024 and before I do any adventures I'll definitely be upgrading the suspension, iam going to keep everything stock except the suspension and maybe down the line a front disc brake, but honestly the stock brakes are not as bad as some people make it out to be, and I got a windscreen and it definitely causes buffering on the head, but also does keep the cold off the chest.i went with the chase harper under seat bag, it seemed like the best quality out of the 3 or 4 different manufacturers offering them, kemmimotto would been my second choice

I got a tusk windscreen now with the chase harper underseat bag and some heated grips and it has made my commute to work so much more enjoyable. I'm working on another Ruckus video soon

I have wanted one of these for awhile as well. But I think Im going to go with a Grom (with dirt tires) or I might buy another Trail 125.

I would love a trail 125 . Another reason I bought the Ruckus is you don't need a motorcycle license in this state to ride the thing so I can legally have a buddy or my family hop on the thing and go lol.

Same here in Arkansas 50cc or less no insurance, tags or DL needed. The first time I saw a motocamping video it was two guys on Ruckus. It got me thinking about one for sure. I have had a Trail 125 it was a blast but I sold it to buy a TW. The TW was a blast too but it was a little different than the Trail.

i need to create a channel; i travelled 2k miles on my 2024 ruckus in december last year. these things are little monsters imo. but definitely want some off road tires soon for trails etc

nice; the first oil change is at 600 miles by the book. but if you’re a little late it’s still in its break in phase after 1k so dw. but yes i travelled from central illinois to arizona all back roads. kansas was the worst smh. but definitely don’t be afraid to test her will; she’s got it

@masondrip42 I did the first inspection and changed the oil at 600 miles. No flakes in the oil.

How steep a hill can it climb without stalling? I don't mind if it's slow, just that it keeps going.

Depends how much momentum you have going into it but I took the Ruckus out today in the trails and passed two KTM riders on the side and they was shocked and surprised to see a little scooter out in the woods lol

What do you think the maximum weight is that you can put on this bike ??

Unfortunately the max load is around 200 lbs but I've heard of a lot bigger riders that are 200+ having no issues . I'm about 185 lbs and it moves me around just fine

If you're still in WA I couldn't advocate enough that you lock the bike up when you park it on the street, even when out on little errands. I had a navi for all of 6 months before someone stole it in the middle of the night 10 ft from my driveway.

@@dualdorks No, I never got it back. I have no idea what could have happened to it honestly. I reported it stolen ASAP and haven't heard back ever again. :/ It's just too easy with these little bikes. If I could do it again I'd probably put a Samsung smart tag in my bike and get a disc lock, but even then with such a small bike nothing is stopping anyone from just picking the whole thing up and putting it in a truck.

The ruckus is a no go on cobble stone streets where i live, just way to harsh a ride to be tolerable

I just upgraded my rear suspension to forza and made a huge difference in handling, and actually seems to have made it accelerate better, I got ncy performance front suspension iam going to put on soon suspension upgrade is a must on the ruckus if your going go offroad
