I remember arriving in Perth Australia, in february 2023. I had to wait 7-8 weeks for my car to be ferried over. It was then delayed for a week. The boat carrier was sitting in the ocean waiting for none other than the Queen Mary 2 to arrive. It is so huge that all other ships had to wait offshore so it can enter the docks and needed all the space to turn around and then head off again later that night. Once parked, my car finally arrived on a japanese carrier that very afternoon. But I have to say, while it was a spectacle to see such a mammoth, and watch all the passengers hanging out in Fremantle, I walked past it on my way to my car carrier parked behind. My first impression was how shabby the whole vessel looked. Paint all faded, rust everywhere, basically rough and rough shod. So it does not surprise me that the ship had technical issues. It doesn't surprise me the guys are painting the sign. It had just returned all the way from Australia on a round trip. It should have been put in drydock without taking bookings.

Only you'd be the only one make an hour of a video about a 1 week long cruise ship voyage without going anywhere with it :D So unfortunate but at least you had some experience. Given that I get horribly seasick, this is probably the only kind of cruise I could manage! So sorry to see it was cancelled, but amazing job making the best of a rubbish situation! Loved the comments about "New York" - although VERY strange for me to see Chiswick pop up! It's a great part of London, but a bit of me kept going "I know that place"/"I've been there"/"that's just around the corner"! 🤣

Crossing the Atlantic via the only operational ocean liner is a must do experience for anyone who loves travel and adventure, a trully bygone era experience. Me and my wife are sailing (from SOUTHAMPTON, not direct from London) to New York in July! Can't wait!

Oh I miss London so much! Visited twice when I was young, I think '97 and '99. Back then it was all safe and a young girl could just explore the city alone herself. I even remember a very kind taxi driver who was an older guy and he took care that I was in the right place and that I walked to the right direction after getting out of the taxi ❤

I'm so sorry your cruise was cancelled, it happened to me a few years ago and I was devastated even though I only had to travel a short distance, not halfway around the world! I'm happy you got a refund for yours, I'm still fighting for my refund 😂 My uncle was one of the designers for the QE2, helping design the original funnel, some of its swimming pools and the system for moving food trays from the restaurants to the kitchens! My grandfather made copper machine parts for the Royal Yacht Brittania. Ah, good old Premier Inn. I stay in them quite regularly because they're all the same - you always know what you're going to get. And you're definitely not the first person to get London and Tower bridges confused someone once bought London Bridge thinking it was Tower Bridge!

Love your humor. You got more patience than me. I only took one dinner in the Britannica & decided I didnt want to wait to be waited on or have a limited meal selection. Ate in the buffet area all meals after that. Their chocolate million dollar cake is to die for & every dinner's desert of several different mousse made for a great cholesterol cruise.

C'est un magnifique bateau. Il a été construit en France, à Saint-Nazaire et, en 2004, lorsqu'il a été livré à la CUNARD Cie, j'étais présent pour le voir partir voguer sur les mers. C'était une fierté de voir ce paquebot qui, par ailleurs, ressemble beaucoup à l'ancien paquebot FRANCE. Merci pour vos belle vidéos.

That's crazy, I was supposed to be on the same cruise and got the email while I was at the train station on the way to the port! Make sure you get in touch with Cunard and make sure you got your FCC, they only gave me 10% back and I had to get them to give me the full 20% that they promised.

I live in a town very near Southampton (cough, definitely not in London, cough) and I’d love to one day cycle to the port, catch this boat and then cycle around New York at the other end. Ps I do feel extremely honoured that you visited somewhere so near to where I live and I’m sorry the trip didn’t work out

I'd never heard of cruises cancelling day of, that's kind of nuts. But it's so nice they let you stay onboard anyway for a cruise-line experience for two days! Cruising is great and I hope you get to enjoy the full experience sometime soon. It also looked like not nearly close to the full amount of passengers, I bet a lot read their email and didn't even bother coming to the cruise terminal, which meant you even got a nicer experience with less crowds! (some cruises can feel downright /packed/ even at 70% capacity) If you do opt to try out some other cruises, there's some that cruise Japan and nearby so you wouldn't have to go as far! Princess Cruise Line has their ship the Diamond Princess, and I believe it has an onsen onboard and sails around Japan, in and out of Yokohama.
