Hey Everyone,
In this video, I share the first part of my awesome motorcycle trip to Yorkshire with my friend Lillie. We are both passionate bikers and we decided to have a girls biking holiday in this beautiful area of England.
If you want to know our journey, it was this:
Day One: Clithroe - Slaidburn - Bentham - Ingleton - Hawes - Sedbergh - Kirkby Lonsdale
Day Two: Devils Bridge - Ingleton - Hawes - Kirkby Stephen - Middleton In Teesdale - Alston - Hartside Pass - Shap - Sizergh (on the A6) - Kirkby Lonsdale
Day Three: Kirkby Lonsdale - Long Preston - Wigglesworth - Forest Beck (on the A6) - A59 to motorways and then home.
This was a great start to our motorcycle adventure and we cant wait for you to see more of Yorkshire in the next part.

Coming from the other side of the pond, i must say i really enjoy your videos, detailed information, and just plain fun vibe that you share. And the phrases that you use, that you just wouldn't hear here in the states are true gems. "What the hickety heck"?!? i've got to get over there and ride some of those beautiful roads. ok, so it just dawned on me, and i'm showing my age here, but the portion where you said what the hickety heck reminded me of the "child catcher" in chitty chitty bang bang!

Lilly needs some ROC straps to tie down her load. Those net straps never keep gear in place. That was some great spirited riding. The terrain closely resembles that of north central Kansas through the sandhills of Nebraska up into central South Dakota. Fun trip.

Great content, you and Lillie need to try Buttertubs Pass if you haven't already. Some great roads in Cumbria. Another great route is from Barrow-In-Furness to Whitehaven, along the West Coast of Cumbria the A595 😉 Lots of twisties and pitstops to enjoy.

Best KZfaq bike vid I've seen in ages, thanks Kate!! If there were more girls like you two, the world & motorcycling would be a much better place. I now do my biking in the mountains around Valencia, Spain & wouldn't return to the UK for anything, but Lancashire, N Yorkshire & Cumbria (should aslo include Northumbria, A686 Penrith - Haydon Bridge, especially after Alson) are truly God's country (who/whatever your god is), and on a day like that, truly unbeatable. I live in Hampshire but I've spent a lot of time in that area and there are three outstanding areas. The forestbof Bowland, the lakes and the Dale's. Kirby Lonsdale, Hawes, and Settle are great touristy stops. I've done every pass in the lakes and buttertub ( Head North at Hawes). Great roads great places to stop and eat, it's definitely worth it.

That road from Slaidburn to Bentham is something else, your camera of course levels out all the humps and hollows which is a shame but not as bad as that lookalike Chris Frome who thought he owned the road, damm menace.

I'm glad you have patience with nob bike riders. You have Dolly we've got kangaroo's and wallaby's who cross the road regardless. Have kicked a few in my time. Love the roads, thanks for the ride.
