How hard is it to support these guys channels? Watching them just isn't enough anymore KZfaq wants comments and hitting the like button. It makes their video pop up more on people's page. So if your watching Dave or any of your other favorite KZfaqrs hit the thumbs up and make a comment or we'll lose a lot of the smaller ones we enjoy watching

Hey Dave, great video! I went to that exact place years ago with my trainer when I was at total. I remember about crapping myself when I had to back on that slant to sweep out my trailer. It was cool to see you go somewhere I have been. I didn’t even realize at first anyways, safe travels.

Believe it or not, that ratio of views to likes is right about the average of all KZfaq videos. General rule is that there should ideally be about 10 views for every 1 like.

Yeah I try to avoid u turning in the street ever unless there’s absolutely no alternative lol. At CFI it was an automatic termination if you did it which is why I never did especially in video 😂

They do know better but at times there is times for a U-TURN. Mostly when you are OTR and find many places not mapped correctly.. If done safely with no traffic then I see no harm. . .

@@dbxek as a dock worker the company drivers get paid extra for pulling nails but every time I’m sweeping and emptying a trailer I seen dozens of nails that I have to pull

Great video Dave I am on my 34 hour reset and in Seattle on the way to Missouri then I go from Missouri to north Carolina but my company has a requirement that the dispatcher has to go out with a driver at least once so I have the dispatcher with my this week

What!? That's crazy. I've never heard of that. I'd probably hate that but it's really a great idea for a dispatcher to see first hand what we deal with. My current dispatcher with Online was a driver so he knows how it goes and he's pretty good. Wish I'd get home a little earlier is my only complaint, been late most the time but I also haven't bitched...... yet. :)

I know I do not like every someone else with me in mine 2005 Peterbilt 379 that I call full of money and it's a 18 speed witch I love but the dispatch is trying to still do there job by dispatcher loads so we can leave tomorrow morning for Missouri

Get an air blower. I bought one for $50 bucks at Home Depot. I keep it in my truck, and use it to clean the trailers. Two minutes and the trailer is good to go. Worth every penny.

Well ya need to quit jacking around Jay I mean Dave get a electric rechargeable blower to keep the trailers clean. It's trucking Dave you're at the mercy of shipping and receiving and everything is your fault when not on time, maybe the flipflops and pajama pants isn't the proper work attire mine was always jeans and boots.🇺🇸

Dispatcher should not assume everyone knows where to go and what to do. Logistics is a bit challenging but should follow a specific plan for each place

Australia needs driving schools like that all you have to do in Australia is hold your car licence for a year then go for truck licence and every year after you can upgrade to doubles then triples

Dave, go work for West Side Transport. Great medium sized family company with terminals in Michigan, Indianapolis, Columbus, Chattanooga, Cedar Rapids, etc. Great driver managers, brand new $8 billion terminal in Cedar Rapids. I drove regional. I think you are getting messed around with there.

So I’ve heard several different things from several different companies and people 😂. CFI logs told me before to just go over my clock by 15 or 20 minutes for safe parking. Do not use PC (personal conveyance) for it. My trainer said to use PC and notate that I was detained at shipper and moving to safe parking. I’ve heard from some drivers, just go over your clock , DOT won’t give a shit about 10 or 15 minutes. You always have 100 different answers and opinions in this profession lol. The right answer, I don’t know. I Prefer using PC and notating that I am moving to legal parking.

Hey Dave if you haven’t figured out how to shut off the idle shutdown if you press the cruise control button toggle switch (CC) and press or hold the resume button the should be a message saying idle shutdown disabled and you can let your truck idle

I mean you can go on or off duty to pause your drive clock but if you’re running out of your 14 hour clock you can’t stop that. Unless you do splits Or somethin you can but I never do splits at all.

You sound exactly like me complaining about the driver who was blocking you. It may only be a few minutes of time wasted, which should be insignificant in most cases. The real problem with it is the fact the other driver isn't being considerate or courteous about other drivers' needs. I'm complaining complaining on my own vlogs about other drivers finding it absolutely necessary to setup their backing and block the entire lane so nobody else can get by while they are opening or closing their trailer doors.

I never promised to upload longer videos. A lot of people misunderstood that post. I said they'd still be around the same length, just condensed down to show a full day. This footage was actually filmed before I made that format change as I never upload videos in order from when I film them. I have a lot of footage still previously filmed. Next video on Wednesday is from March 14th for example :)

@@veritas2145 I"m one of the few decent sized trucking channels that don't do any paid promotions for 30-45 seconds at the beginning of my videos. I'm also one of the few decent sized channels that doesn't do shorts and all long form dedicated. If everybody bitches I might just start doing only shorts I guess and add some paid promotions. I always think of the viewer with my videos.
