Not a fan of splashing moisture while riding your Ridley Grifn? Then opt for our special fenders/mudguards! We have prepared the following step-by-step guide for the installation of the mudguards.
Required tools:
- 3mm Allen key
- 6mm Allen key
- It's advisable to place the bicycle on a mounting stand before you begin. It's also necessary to remove the two wheels from the bicycle.
Step-by-step guide:
Rear fender:
1: Remove the rear wheel
2: Take the fender adapters and mount them on top of the seat stays near the dropout
3: Take out the rubber plugs on the inside of the seat stays AND Mount the support plates with the 10mm bolt in the inside of the seat stays
4: Insert plastic bracket holder on the mudguard in the hole provided and twist the bracket in place
5: Slide the fender clamps over the bracket
6: Slide the Mudguard over the support plates in the frame
7: Mount mudguard using a 15mm screw in the seat tube
8: Mount the bracket on the fender adapters from the outside, using 15mm bolts
9: Reinstall rear wheel in the bike. Attention: Manually adjust the distance between the rear wheel and the mudguard by sliding the bracket in the clamps
Front fender:
10: Insert plastic bracket holder on the mudguard in the hole and twist the long bracket in place
11: Slide the fender clamps over the bracket
12: Add plastic spacer on top side of the mudguard
13: Install mudguard IN THE FORK USING the 15mm bolt
14: Install the front wheel
15: Mount the bracket on the fork using 15mm bolts on both sides
