I looked briefly at the sun accidentally and there was a huge circle in my vision for 15 minutes
@ngotemna88754 ай бұрын
The tricky thing about solar eclipses is that the very noticable reduction of daylight causes your pupils to widen. So when you look at the solar eclipse it's exponentially worse than when you look at the sun in broad daylight because of how surface to radius ratio works in circles.

The pressure plate being activated by your feet is honestly true to Minecraft. You cant punch then to activate them in game, only step on them, wo that makes a lot of sense😂
@machnesntsn_ind.4 ай бұрын

Yo! That pressure plate thing sounds like a hitbox assignment feature. I bet it works in a way where every body part of a character is given a tag that is also shared by other characters. I bet they use it when assigning hitboxes. I bet dark samus is a special case where her foot tag is not in a posistion where it can touch the pressure plate, so they assigned it the default y axis of her model. And for ROB, I believe where his wire connects to his base extends a bit lower than his base so due to that I believe the pressure plate was coded to get the lowest point of that foot tag and trigger on that point touching it, with a bit of padding.

I think that the rob pressure plate discrepancy might have something to do with the fact he slightly "hovers" in all spots above the ground except for the back rear wheels (you can see his gap between the floor especially on mega smash where the gap is bigger than the pressure plate itself), and i do see that rob has wheels in the front that dont press it down but perhaps thats similar to dk's fists where they slightly miss it and dont count or something

A lot of pressure plate shenanigans are probably because Smash is 3d, and it's hitboxes actually reflect that. I think the thing with Rob happens because his rear platform dips a bit lower than the rest of his body, and the thing with Dark Samus is probably because in some situations Smash can be a bit spaghetti-coded.

Or just if the center of the icb pass over the plate while grounded on the same plateform as the plate it activate as a fail safe

Hey! Why did no one inform me a video was made from my tweet? Glad to see this got covered though so thanks @PKBeats You can call it the Juicy Lucy to refer to it if you want to, I don't think there will be an actual official name for it because it's so niche and I'm not good with names, I just keep referring to it as his Special 3rd Throw. Definitely just waffling here for the next part because I love talking about the Ridley Steve MU With all the tools Ridley has and the side b interaction with blocks Steve is honestly my number 1 favourite match up to fight. There will probably be some nay sayers but with the tools and kit Ridley has you'd be surprised at how well he does to shut down a lot of Steve's stuff, blocks indirectly buffing him and also being destroyed easilly and safely, nair making minecart non existent and Steve can't hit ledgehang with lava. There is also the situations where if the Steve tries placing blocks offstage and near ledge to stop a recovery with side b or so he can stand out there and use a move there are times where this will lead to the Steve getting wall slammed against the stage wall itself and can send them at a nasty angle killing them, it also looks extremely janky animation wise. Now this isn't saying he wins, if anything it just feels really even, there's nothing Steve does that can be considered janky or cheesy on Ridley that a lot of the cast can do to Ridley and way worse. Just comes down to being outplayed in this mu. My favourite use of the Side b is when Steve is making a wall to mine by the edge of the stage, Steve's unaware of this will do their standard strategy of hold shield and punish if someone tries to jump over the wall. What I do is jump over and use the multi jumps to hover over to ledge and then proceed to side b them into their own wall, since they've made the same condition that was shown in the video. High level Steve's I know and play against Like MazeBeans and Susu will try to call out the side b or try and dodge the side b so it adds more mind games in that scenario. Still can't believe I didn't see this video until now.

Typically, space pirate rush won't kill the normal way until 140. I don't know the percentage about the wall slam but consider it to be 20 to 30 percent higher then said in this video. I will lab it and edit this comment when I know the percentage window for the wall version

I think he reason R.O.B. doesn't trigger the pressure plate when approaching forwards a bit is due to R.O.B. hovering slightly except on the back. R.O.B. has a little protrusion on the back of it's model that raises the entire "foot" up off the ground. So it doesn't trigger until that protrusion touches the pressure plate. It's like high heels except it's only the heel so the rest of the "foot" doesn't properly land on the pressure plate.

ROB kinda appears to have the two "nubs" in front and a larger "square" in back with most of his base being elevated. I think the logic behind the ROB thing is that Rob's "feet" is actually starting from the center of mass and forms a straight line to the back, like a triangle kinda deal. The reason the "front feet" doesn't count is because actually the whole thing is jets that aren't supposed to touch anything, so they'd "graze over". And even if we consider that "every part touches", then the battery pack in the back and the center point would STILL be the heaviest part, and ROB's weight actually tilts backwards relative to the center of gravity of the feet...
