I know nothing about the Horus Heresy game, but being an usual 40k player, I admit that seeing this board gave me more feelings of an actual war game. Lots of infantry, tanks... I really enjoyed it :)

According to latest FAQ, you can't replace shooting in reaction to something else. So overwatch - it's a shooting reaction. You can shoot, but can't cast instead.

Doesn't the Typhon only lose 1+D3 for the explosion as a lord of war?

It is a LoW but it's not a Super Heavy, then that rule would apply

I think the Typhon should have been ok from the sky hunters as it's a super heavy, so takes D3 extra hull points instead of exploding
