continue by car until the obvious car park after the riding stables
(d. 1235). Then take path 608B which, after about 200 meters of difference in altitude, joins path 608 (which comes from Malga Zanga) arriving at Malga Stivo (1768 m). From there continue until the Stivo refuge.
The "Rifugio Stivo -Prospero Marchetti" is located near the summit of Monte Stivo. It enjoys a magnificent panorama of the Ledro Alps, the Adamello-Presanella group as well as the Ortles-Cevedale, to the north in the foreground the Brenta Dolomites and then gradually Val Aurina, Catinaccio, Sella, Marmolada, Lagorai with the Pale in the background of S.Martino; towards the east the Pasubio and the Little Dolomites.
The fascinating view of upper Garda, "La Busa", with the entire lake and on the horizon the plain framed by the Apennines. It is easily accessible throughout the year, even in snow, both on skis (excellent descent in the upper part) and on snowshoes.
