Impeccable timing! Tomorrow we will say our final goodbyes to my precious father-in-law and best buddy after a brief cruel battle with cancer. His around the clock care this past month has kept me away from beading but I was inspired by everyone’s posts of their work whenever I could check social media. Then this morning I saw this cross...immediately overwhelmed 😢 It’s beautiful. I am excited to make this soon! Our faith has carried us this past month and especially the last few days and this piece will be special to make! Thank you sweetheart for this moment💕 and sharing your gift to us! Next Summer we will take Dads ashes to his favorite mountains out West. He was a wildlife photographer and loved chasing bears! ☺️💕🌻

At about 9:25--it's a fun and games until someone gets hurt....by a flying bead!! It's always a surprise when that darn needle gets stuck and beads are catapulted around the room! Seriously, this cross pendant is lovely, and so easy to stitch. Thank you, Stephanie, for sharing this beautiful design with us.

Oranit Mayer Yes, I did hear that. If it’s true, the we’ll find new sources for our stones and crystals. Preciosa manufactures beautiful bicones and round crystals . Potomac Beads has their own line of fancy stones and crystals that are very nice as well. So a good start! I’m sure the’ll be other sources coming as well to fill the Swarovski void😀

First, I would like to say thank you for sharing all your beautiful pieces with the world and teaching us how to make them, like many others, I love your work and you make each one so easy with how you explain and show each step. I have been looking hard for a cross design that I could work up for my ailing grandmother, sadly she left us this morning and I never got the chance to give her it for a Christmas present this year but I will finish it today and wear it in memory of her. Looks like fun! I can't wait to try it. I think I may try to step it down to 15/0 seed beads and 3mm firepolish and pearls to see how it looks. Whenever I have something I want to try and am not sure how to go about it, I check your channel out first. I usually find that you have just the thing!

I haven't beaded for awhile (years, really) due to taking care of my mother and husband. I was looking for a cross to bead that I could turn into a memorial for my husband (he passed away a few months ago) using a beaded cross design. I forgot about RAW technique and when I came across your video, after searching for something I could grasp (still in heavy grief mode) your video is the most clear and concise explanation of this weave by far. Your hand movements are not hiding areas that are important as to which direction you need to go in. Thank you. God Bless you, you are definitely a very gifted teacher.

After completing my very first project, the narrow empress bracelet for my sister’s birthday (sent a photo in FB messenger), I think this is what I’m going to make for my sister-in-laws for Christmas. I truly thank you for the lessons. I ordered my first Dollar Bead Box and just sat there wondering where to begin. I think there are some fire polished beads in that Nov box. I’ll order some of those O beads. This is a beautiful cross. Thank you again for the tutorial!

Fantastic. I just made a cross using craw with a bicone detail on the front. It works really well and I made a craw chain and attached directly to the cross. It was for my sisters 60th. I wish I had seen thus first, it’s beautiful. Can’t wait to make it. Thanks Stephanie .

Bring on the crosses! The Lord is still in the miracle business. Had cancer all my adult life, ovarian in 1976, when no one survived it. 7 different cancers, metastatic breast 20 years ago with a 30% chance to live 2 years! 10 3/4 years on chemos! Now, metastatic kidney and urotheliol. With lots of prayers, have had a completely full life - been everywhere and done everything ever wanted to do! The Lord has kept me here, so I tell everyone that the Lord is still in the miracle business. If you have cancer, get a supportive prayer group. Read your bible. Believe, trust, pray incessantly, help others, love, forgive, and live a long, full, and, joy-filled life. Crosses!

Thank you 🙏 I wouldn’t stiffen it up as it is a pendant. It will confirm to your décolleté and lay nicely. You could use smaller beads and it would be a little stiffer 😃

the most beautiful cross pendant i ever see, and easy to make but very elegant, is a Christmas pendant in my opinion and a beautiful necklace with a smaller herringbone bail cos adapt to continue beading to make it from pendant before on a site and than on the opposite, i figure out, and you ? let me know your opinion as designer, dear sweet Stephanie, love ❤️❤️❤️

Love this so much! What can I do to stiffen the cross....mine is a little flimsy. I tighten the beads very well while I was making it. It still looks great.

Thank you 🙏 I made it fluid so it would conform to the body when worn. If it was stiff it would stick out and not lay nicely. You could use a thicker diameter thread if you like.

So sorry, I thought I address Ed that in the materials section if the video. You can use 11/0’s but it will look a bit different. Some people have used small jump tings or spacers as well.

I did some research on Swarovski. I couldn't imagine this company stopping production.The production was cut back in March. Maybe there are problems with the import, because the goods are made in Europe.Goods from Europe can be subject to high tariffs, may be that's the reason. I live in Germany and there no customs duties from other European countries.We are not aware of any closure here and I would be surprised because it is a very successful company. These products are sold all over the world. Covid is also here among the employees , therefor less productivity. If you have any questions, it is easier for me to found out something. I would like to do this for all the enthusiastic fans from Stephanie. greetings from Berlin !

Hello from Vancouver Canada! I also find this hard to believe. But I wondered if they were just going to make them available to trades, like design houses. My d-i-l bought a Victorinox chef's knife, and when she went to get another for a gift, she was told they will only be available to professional chefs now. I'd love it if you could look into Swarovski!

@@ceebeedub177 I didn't understand this correctly, can you explain this again? If Swarovski stopped production, we would have heard this in the news. The Swarovski website has no information about this. For Germany America is the export partner number one. In order to protect the American Economy, very high punitive tariffs were sometimes placed on goods from Germany. The prices may have risen as a result and you haven't ordered anything from Swarovski. This is my explanation. But you are from Canada !

@@juttafaust1935 , I reada complicated statement about Swarovski stopping all trade to retailers. I can't recall where I saw it. One person said it's just a ploy to raise prices, but what do I know. This was just in the past week or so, and when my daughter in law mentioned the knife story yesterday, I told her what I'd read about Swarovski. Can you send me your email address or something? @@ceebeedub177 My dear Connie, I order my material in France, offer and prices are very good.Many bicones are now out of stock and certain colors are currently unavailable. The 3 and 4 millimeter you need most I can't order. But there is a button for a waiting list. This are the facts. This bicones are from Swarovski. I have just started this hobby and haven't had a lot of supplies yet, because I actually wanted to avoid that. I tend to buy a lot and then I change my mind maybe want other colors.It's supposed to be a hint and if I had know I would have ordered right away.What's going on there, I don't know . I believe there is only one size for Czech O Beads. 3.8mm

Stephanie, what is the best brand of seed beads that are consistent in size. I have tried several brands, and find the size is so different.

No problem, I had the same issue until I learned about the Miyuki beads, they are a sanity saver for sure! Toho beads are consistent also. I think they may be just a scooch bigger by a very small margin.

A Druk is a Czech Glass bead and a Crystal Pearl has a core of crystal.

Can you please watch a video on a site called beading4perfectionists and see if you might could make the cross she made but in a video where we can actually see up close what is be8ng done. I know if it could be made easier and up close and clear you will be the lady that can do it. Thank you.

I hate to admit this but I wouldn't know how to make the other style of cross that you didn't make on the video. The sapphire blue one. Did I miss something? Most likely ☹️

All the crosses are the same. I just showed a different bail on the blue one. 😃🥰 The beaded bail is probably better as you won’t have to find a metal bail. If you want to add a metal bail you can add a 3mm Pearl, the bail and a 3mm Pearl where you would start the herringbone bail. Reinforce and you’re done.
