I love my Kobalt Pole Saw - 80-volt - 5-ah battery - 10" Bar - 6 ft / 8ft foot Pole Saw. No cable. Using an Oregon Bar and Chain. I have been using it for more than 3 years now. It works great on my southeast Louisiana farm clearing property that a hurricane went through and trashed all the trees in the woods of our 20-acre farm. I carry it all over our woods and the battery lasts a long time. Today I'll be cutting a 6-inch limb off of a tree out front. I am also using (2) Kobalt 80 volt 18" Bar Chainsaw and using the 5 AH Batteries. Cuts huge logs great. The first one wound up in a puddle and stopped working but after a couple of weeks and it had dried out, it started working again. For oil I like to use Ryoby Bar and chain oil.

I ordered the 40v pole saw from lowes without the battery. Buyer be aware if you dont already have a battery/charger. Worked for me because i already have 3 batteries and two chargers for my chain saw,hedge trimmer , blower & weedwhacker

Yes - good call out! A lot of times you can get these with or without the battery. The batteries are expensive alone but you can usually get them for less if you’re buying the tool with the battery

Thanks for the video I have been eyeing this for my trees in my backyard and I am in the Koblat ecosystem from lawnmower, weed wacker, edge trimmer, and blower; so plenty of batteries.

Glad you enjoyed. Yeah I’m really liking it so far. Now that it’s getting warmer we’ll be using it all the time. Weed wackers as well. That becomes a weekly tool here to keep up with everything

Always grease the bar.Their are 2 holes near the end.One on each side.That will keep the front gear turning smoothly.Oregon makes a little grease gun just for that.Good video though

I went with the 40v because we use the 40v weed wackers. Very pleased with how these tools have held up. We use the weed wackers several times a week at this time of year and they’ve taken a beating for 2+ years so far with no issues. I’m sure the 80v is great - with the price of batteries, I just thought it’d be better to have an extra that I can interchange

@@EvergreenFarm19 If you double the amperage of your battery, you will turn your 40v into an 80 volt equivalent.

Hey Bud, Maine here again. Great video, just a few comments. Firstly, you should do more videos with your wife and family. I know it is cold outside, my husband is my homestead partner and partner in life. Your wife is the same and more, since she is also the mother of your children. I mean really she was going out there with hand shears; she wanted it done and you wanted something with power lol. Secondly, I have used Kobalt weed eaters before, I am extremely happy with EGO, batteries are huge and give me plenty of time; you might want to check it out. Thirdly and this is entirely up to your wife but, that hill is south facing, might want to consider berries i.e. rasp or blue etc.... Something to think about and don't worry about the fact it looks like your wife is outworking you, so, you had to buy a power tool. LOL we get it!

Can probably work in a bunch of things there. And lastly, yeah you’re right she was all about the work and I just wanted a new tool. Caught me there lol
