Hundreds of artists have recorded this song. NOBODY sings it like Bobby Hatfield. No auto tunes. Live performance. One chance to get it right. Perfection. RIP Bobby. Bobby was 25 at this time.

This is by far the most reacted to song on You Tube. It is like a rite of passage for all reaction channels to have "Unchained Melody (1955)" as one of their reactions to do list. They and you cannot go wrong reacting to in my humble opinion the greatest (Live) television performance ever. This was done 58 years ago back in 1965 on the "Andy Williams Show." The music arrangement by the NBC Studio Orchestra was off the charts great. The Strings and Horns Sections made this performance the best ever. Add the Counter Tenor voice of the late great Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers and you have an instant classic. Love your reaction to one of the greatest live performances ever! Brilliant!

Best live performance ever. Bobby Hatfield made love to Everywoman all over the world when he sang that song.

The lip bite at the end is because he was so scared of messing it up... because his parents were in the audience. ❤ 25 years old at the time. 😊

This is my favorite song by Bobby Hatfield, but Summertime show the blue eye soul even more. That is one you should watch.

I saw that you noticed his pinkie ring - that goes with his pink sports coat. :-) Check out both Righteous Brothers singing You'll Never Walk Alone! Sadly Bobby Hatfield passed away 20 years ago, but the other 'brother', Bill Medley is still out performing.

😍 Nice reation really. And yess, if you see the beginning of this clip in Andy William show, you’ll see all the three wearing pink because it was dedicated to Valentine day. Bobby allways smiling, gentle and passionate in every performance. But listen to Summertime and you blow up with the sureal notes he can reach.

If you haven’t heard “I Just Wanna Make Love To You” by the Righteous Brothers, it’s bluesy goodness. Muddy Waters I believe wrote the song.

Try listening to "Guess Who" , "My Prayer", "Dream on" "somewhere", bring it on home to me" and of course "Summertime." The list is long and never shortens because no one can listen to anything Bobby sings just once.

Hey I am so with you about how some people who sing so well are also so, so, so blessed with their looks. Some of us don't even have a crumb of looks or talent, lol. He was definitely a stunning and handsome man and the voice, the style. Nobody had a chance. He's still stealing everyone's ladies whenever they watch him sing!

You got it right, This was Valentine's Day 1965 on the Andy Williams Show, his mother was in the audience seeing him sing professionally for the first time, no autocorrect enhancement. At least 20 million watching on Tv. And he still belted this performance perfectly. Talk about pressurs, he never showed it.

And dont forget the pinky ring! Love me sum Bobby and he was only 25 then. Beautiful and talented vocalist who definitely had soul. Wait till you see him dance. This performance was actually better than the studiio cut that charted twice. Listen to him do My Prayer.

You really should watch Bobby Hatfield sing "Summertime" and both of the Righteous Brothers singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" on the Ed Sullivan show. Those are two big doses of "blue-eyed soul" that I think You would completely enjoy.

Blue eyed soul came about when a DJ at a black radio station in Philly coined the phrase My Blue eyed soul Brothers when introducing their songs there by letting his listeners that they were white. White stations would not play them because they thought they were black and black stations because they were white. Their songs were just to popular and everything worked out.

I also keep learning … ❤ they were considered responsible for the 60’s baby boomer and called panty dropper 😅 you still didn’t react to You’ve lost that loving feeling in duet. Blue eyed duet, Bill’s deep baritone and the amaizing Bobby’s tenor with a crazy ending made it the most recorded song of the 20th century !!

Again Wikipedia info 😡 no drugs were found never. He smoked a lot since he was young and allways worried about his wife disease. Practice golf and very cool guy. Linda suffered from lupus, and Hatfield set up an annual golf tournament, the Bobby Hatfield Charity Golf Classic, to raise funds for charities for the disease. No place to using drugs
