it's most likely because you see it from a camera if you saw her irl she'll probably look insane, but it still looks good on camera and some people are into the "too much makeup" look so take this as just an opinion :D

She looks so good. This artist made her look young and beautiful. I think Nikkie does great work, but most of the time she goes a step too far with the product and its borderline costumey/drag. This looks youthful and natural.

A big difference looking back at Nikkie's video is gurus use wayyyyy too much makeup, they cake their face and over do everything. They do drag makeup compared to this more professional makeup look that is more glamorous . A lot of the problems that Nikkie found in the makeup was because she was just not applying it correctly.

I think it looks more natural (especially the skin texture) than when she put all that stuff on her skin. The foundation shade is also better, not dead-pale like the one she usually uses. The makeup artist totally gets it in the beginning: We want skin that still looks like skin.

Yeah she dropped some real philosophy in the beginning by saying skin should look like skin ... HOWEVER, she lost me with the foundation application. If your neck is lighter than your face then shouldn't you make your face shade match your neck then warm your look with bronzer?! There shouldn't be any reason to apply foundation to your neck unless you are wearing something strapless and if so, then do your whole decolleté

Personally my neck is darker than my face but I don't feel the need to make them match, I still match my foundation to my face. I don't see it as something that needs to be corrected personally, it doesn't bother me! I always wear SPF on my face so I think that's why it's more fair than my neck (I know I know, I should wear SPF on my neck and chest too but usually don't).

She uses a blurring filter though, in all her videos. That means that it will make faces look smoother. Just so you know😉 many people think they suck at makeup because they can’t replicate it, but it is totally different as to if you would have been there yourself😊 but - I think the foundation is awesome!

Sara Klasic ... they only calling it that cuz she made it a lil more popular we all know she didn't "invent" the technique she just executed it in that Vogue Video that had like 10 million views. Nicka K makes that same highlight brush for less it's not FENTY but works just as well I use both of them and get the same results.

I guess Nikkie just likes cakey makeup. She has an education in makeup and has worked in TV shows, magazines etc. so she is a professional. I personally prefer the kind of makeup shown in this video (and my fave look from Nikkie is the natural makeup challenge) but then again I feel that on youtube your makeup needs to be dramatic to get views. 🤔

IntoTheStarlight a lot of the KZfaqrs are technically professional makeup artists since that's what they do for a living. However in the industry of fashion and stylisation yes there is quite a difference since KZfaq makeup generally follows Instagram, drag, FX and everyday makeup
