121 years since the first photographs of the Rijeka Carnival parade were made availble. Rijeka is an individual town for a number of things and amongst all this individuality it has "that certain something" that makes it different from the rest of the world. That "certain something" is the fifth season!! Whilst everyone else lives trough a year with four seasons,
Rijeka has created its own unique fifth season, it's called the Carnival, with a capital C!! This year, 9,000 people with masks participated in 93 groups!!
