And I noticed one of the entertainers turned toward the projection of her Grandfather, like her mom, too sweet. Loved seeing the Lisa Marie what a profound statement without saying a word. The piano, & choir was breathtaking.

I never ever heard Riley talk about her grandfather as an entrainer and what she really thought of Elvis, knowing she never met him personally. She must have some thoughts of him, of what she knew of him and what does she think of his acting ability and his songs he's recorded and what are some of her favorite songs and what movies she liked.

The man who did the interview……, you are dead wrong with saying Elvis was doing a protest song. Elvis made it a point to say he was never out to make a statement…not political or any other way. He always said he was an entertainer and was there to entertain and make people happy! And it was Martin Luther King that had just been assassinated and the song If I can dream had a special meaning to Elvis because of Mr. King. However, Elvis never remarked about the song but you can see it in his performance. The Elvis fans have been around forever. We can not be talked down to , condescended or have our emotions played with. Cut out the fake B.S. As for Riley, she is going to be wonderful. But it will take a few bumps. She has been put in a very hard position with millions of very well informed Elvis fans watching. She’s going to be awesome. She’s a Presley and we love her already!

Why are people criticizing Riley because she loves and supports her grandmother? I know there are some people who dislike Priscilla. Everyone is entitled to their opinions . However, I think the vitriol that has been directed lately toward Priscilla has gotten way out of hand . Now Riley is being attacked , because she loves and supports her grandmother . What goes on in the Presley family is between them . Their family’s business is no one else’s business . If Riley approved Priscilla being buried at Graceland , it’s her decision . Period . Like it or not , Priscilla is Riley’s blood. Riley is not naive . She is not a child. She is an intelligent and well accomplished young woman . Love Riley but the guy talked to much, even talked about his wedding instead of asking Riley and let her speak.

I hope Riley knows how important the rules are in preserving this legendary home. I know she wants to make the house more accessible to more people, but youve got to first and foremost preserve the home. I heard about her wanting to rent out the property to public for various functions, putting up a few Carnival Rides, holding concerts there. People will sadly steal and ruine things, as it doesnt have the sentimental value it use to hold with true fans. If she allows the home to be viewed on tv, there may never me a reason for people to pay to see the home. She is young and doesnt know the effort it takes to keep things as pristine looking in order to preserve. I hope she doesnt have a fallout with Priscilla as she is just one of a few people, knowing intimate things about Elvis.

Speaking as someone who isn't an Elvis fan, I have to say the host sounds like a salesman for Graceland and the Presley family. It's kind of off putting honestly. The family name stands on it's own. Over selling it isn't necessary. Joel talks way too much. Ask the questions and let Riley speak.

Riley, you baby girl. I think there were many things that did not occur to you. I think seeing the interior would have been better. Don't light and wardrobe in red even if it is Christmas. I see the devil when I see that much red. Consider that many people wanted to see the interiors and not dragged scene to scene not knowing where you were. More home movies, more Elvis and not Post Malone. Being authentic to Graceland's beginning is important.

Let’s remember Graceland is about Elvis, his life and his music. This guy seems to wanna slowly but surely transform Elvis into an abstract figure and make Graceland an eventual amusement park. He kept emphasizing it was about the “Presley community and friends.” And judging by the Christmas special, where there were only one or two Elvis songs in it, I think I’m right. Not to mention, where were the Christmas songs?

I've been an Elvis fan my whole life. I wish Riley and Joel would remember that Graceland=ELVIS, not a bunch of 21st century half-wits. Who was that guy that jumped into Elvis' pool??? I realize Riley is trying her hand at something new and edgy, but the Christmas special didn't scream Elvis. And why are strangers driving Gladys' pink Cadillac? I'm sorry, but I thought it was horrible. If she's going to run Graceland, she needs to remember that it's about Elvis, and he isn't just some guy buried out back.

I found this interview disappointing. I'm not a Prissy fan. I actually have "no respect" for her at all. Riley comes across to me as being very naive of the true character of her grandmother and how she has relentlessly disparaged her grandfather for the last 50 years, while trying to monetarily capitalize off of his legacy. Furthermore, Prissy was "never" the mastermind behind Graceland and it is because of the true Elvis Presley fans that Graceland has flourished. Riley seems to be content with repeating Prissy's narrative as well as promoting her "fairytale." The warmth that seemed to be connected with Graceland has left with the passing of Lisa. I don't get that warmth and connection from Riley at all. She just seems to be doing a job with a smile on her face while trying to say the right words. She makes me question how much she really knows or even cares to know about her grandfather and/or his music. She makes me feel that she's "distant" to it all. Recently, another Commenter wrote Joel W. over her concern about Prissy being buried at Graceland. He responded with this comment: "Thanks for the note , Elvis’s genius keeps him and will continue to keep him relevant for generations to come . It’s been my responsibility to illuminate and elevate his genius . I don’t think anyone understands Lisa’s desires as it relates to this better than I .
