interesting to know verbose logging might mention it, it has happened a few times with a few random mods not interacting nicely in the past Ty for sharing about it, in case it ever happens to me again

This still happens to me rarely even without Anomaly, only 2 things I've had fix it are draft and undraft all paws at once or restart the game

Yeah I love watching Adam play but chat is super frustrating sometimes. It's one of the downsides of watching popular streamers. The more viewers there are, the more annoying chat gets.

yeah seeing people repeat the same 3 things over and over and ask the same handful of questions every 5 minutes is... painful it is slightly funny when i'm listening to it on the 2nd monitor or while going to bed and hearing Adam answer the same question over and over and over

if you perhaps mean the dark study / wardening thing, then chat at least that time was right, Wardening Job is indeed for studying, but only the monoliths. Studyng entities on the holding platforms is a Dark Study job. You can confirm it by looking at Shizmabob: Ain’t a warden, but still studies entities

That's not the only thing. Chat was asking non stop questions about the dead body. Making it impossible for Adam to forget studying it and possibly getting the bad ending on his own. Would've been such a good scene. But no, chat was like "but what is happening with the corpse?" "Study the corpse Adam!" "Adam where is the corpse?". They ruined everything

What a bummer... at least with combat glitches, you can play **around them** but this was a complete Development-Arrester

Yeah, really unfortunate I didn't notice sooner. I thought I was just not seeing numbers and things due to zoom out. 5+ hours of progress wasted/stalled. :(

Pathological completionism or what people often casually call "OCD" is an expression of a deep-seated human evolutionary risk-aversion response. We don't like the unknown. The unknown was historically dangerous for humans. Cave bears and other hostile humans/creatures lurked around every corner. We don't like scarcity. Hoarding all possible, known resources is the instinct that helped humans hedge against starvation, prepare defenses, and ultimately survive. But that's a yesterday-you problem. Today, you live in an era with the Internet and where calories are cheap and frequently empty. You don't need to complete all the college degrees, tech certifications, and professional careers in the world IRL to have a good life spent playing RW (or WC3). :D In fact, trying to become a successful attorney, chemical engineer, forester, farmer, doctor, musician, painter, 3D animator, illustrator, construction contractor, army general, ship captain, pilot, nuclear scientist, biologist, motivational speaker, and president all in one lifetime would probably make for a very stressful and possibly unenjoyable life. So why should it feel any more necessary to do so in a game, just because the game has an artificially more limited set of choices? Since this is a sandbox game, you're free to do whatever you want, of course. Try to research everything? Not finish a run ever again, in 1000 more hours of play? It's cool. As long as you have fun with the game. But if you ever feel like you want to pick a new personal objective, that's also great. Resist the completionist urge? Complete a run all the way to one endgame scenario in X time while *gasp* ignoring 70% of the tech tree? Some other focused personal goal? All cool. No cave bear is going to eat you if you don't complete all the things in a single Rimworld run. Your IRL family won't starve from crop failure if you don't build all the things in a single run. The world won't collapse if you don't become president (well, maybe). If you so choose, it's OK to take risks in a game because there are real life consequences for failure. In fact, failures ranging from partial and inconsequential up to utter and catastrophic are one of several key elements that drive the emergent dramatic stories of, well, Rimworld as a story generator. But it's also OK to not take those risks if you don't want, also precisely b/c it's a game. EDIT: tone was meant to be dryly tongue-in-cheek, not unsolicited life advice. Imagine this comment with a lot more emojis as needed to not take it seriously.

@@AdamVsEverything I thought I had watched the latest one, because KZfaq displays it as fully watched if you watch any part of a live video, and I had clicked it fist before realizing it was part 2. I really wish KZfaq could fix how it remembers you watching live videos, because any time I'm in the middle of one when the stream ends, KZfaq restarts me at the beginning, and doesn't remember where I left off.

@@AdamVsEverything Watched the explanation, and I actually had the same bug a few days ago, where a sick animal didn't get tended because there was an inaccessible spot the doctor wanted to stand. I didn't get the pawn standing, though, they just ignored that chicken.

That was the primary point of shelves existing before they made them triple stack (which was a recent change - they used to only hold 1 item per tile). Shelves make it so things do not deteriorate outside/unroofed. As far as wood goes, wood has high hp per piece in log form and deteriorates very slowly. As long as you are using it within a couple years you are fine to have it lay outside. - I go over both these things and show them several times in the run (but no worries, I know they are long VODs).
